ME, haven't had a chance to read the post, but HCON is me - Razz I'll post what I have as soon as I'm done with her, but I think I'm on to something.... what significance does 1964 have to anyone (I'm NOT a history buff)

So far?

Quote:
The Mothers of Invention were a rock and roll band active from the 1960s to the 1990s. They mainly performed works by composer Frank Zappa, although other bandmembers have an occasional credit.

Initially, the group was named "The Soul Giants", and consisted of drummer Jimmy Carl Black, bass player Roy Estrada, saxophonist Davy Coronado, guitarist Ray Hunt, and vocalist Ray Collins. After Collins got into a fight with Hunt in 1964, Hunt quit the group and Frank Zappa took his place as guitarist - quickly becoming the leader of the group.

On Mothers' Day, 1964, the band changed its name to "The Mothers"

According to the History Channel web-site, nothing important happend on February 4th, 1964 (using 2464 as my guide - 2/4/64).

Ok, here's the transcript - BI and I chatted for quite a while, and it's getting late here, so pardon my lack of editing on this.... a LOT of it is meaningless *because I'm a noob, and don't know exactly what to ask (but GOD BLESS BI for being patient with me)....*

I haven't received much feedback, but my feeling is definitely IG, I'm just not asking the right questions...... I think I have a good feel (thanx to some extreme guidance) that 24 days from now is Mother's Day - and that there's some significance to 1964 - (the year the FORD MUSTANG was revealed) other than that I'm clueless....

Regardless, enjoy, if you want to take the time to read it all Smile

(TWMIS - when I saw the post about 'The Mothers' I kinda took credit during the chat, just to see where it went - I PROMISE (pinky swear) that credit would have been given if I thought there was a coorelation - I'm NOT into stealing anyone's thunder!!!!) I just saw the response as a 'Nothing" type answer.....

Bonjour. Salut. Hallo. Hola. Pree-vyet.

All that good stuff.
Tay-Tay is going to attempt to be diplomatic here:
As for all the IG talk...I must state I (BI) am NOT IG. 'Kay?
This is my first ARG.
Je dois déclarer que je NE SUIS PAS IG.
No soy IG.
Ich bin nicht IG.
Я не IG.

Hopefully, the usage of different languages sends the point that I am, quite obviously, not IG.

And, by the way, I gathered you were tag-teaming me. (HCON and who ever else that was.)

Zamochit:
Most awesome first post EVAR. Smile

Just looked at this thread and have a couple of observations.

twenty-four (auf Deutsch) is: "vier und zwanzig". ("four and twenty", like the blackbirds).

There is a data format known as X12 that uses asterisks as element separators and tildes as segment separators in all of it's example documentation.

Possibility that it relates to this... Low, but it reminded me of this data format so I thought I'd mention it. I can't think of any way vertical/horizontal would factor into that as it might with the 2464 kloo. (down 24 and right 64 units in a document, picture or collection of some kind)

Apologies if I caused any confusion, but it was me that emailed Mata. I fired off the email before it had been confirmed that Mata was in fact one of us.

It's likely that this text is not actually related, but I did a search for the phrase "I'll be the cat, you'll be the mouse." and came up with a single hit: http://eve.vartdal.org/pirate.html.
The site is an EVE-online fanfic type thing, and it bears mentioning that it does deal with adult themes. As I said, I'm guessing it isn't actually related, but the fact that it is based on a MMOG sparked my interest a little. I suppose it could be the same writer...but such conjecture is pointless, isn't it?

The 15th post on the 6th post of this very thread is as stated, HCON:
"Okay, so me and HCON were tag-teaming her tonight... this is my side of the conversation." -SC

It then goes on to reveal the conversation I had with SC, which I'm also not too fond of.

Can you explain your logic there for me? Why should your fluency in several languages be proof of your game status? I'm not saying I doubt you, just that I don't understand how that makes a difference.

Until we are able to determine who is IG and who is OOG, all conversations with that person will be posted. Not because we may believe in full that you are IG, but to help everyone come to a conclusion (ie. a community consensus) as to what to do with the information that is provided in the conversation, if anything.

It is not an attack on who you are or what role that you play, it is a means to scratch out a possible link to the game that we can use to our advantage.

The more that we are able to prove that you are not IG, the less likely we are to post the conversation, unless something in that conversation leads to something important and we would like to give you "props" for that. Then you will see something along the lines of "Here is the conversation I had with so-and-so and we were able to figure out how to get to the next part of the puzzle."

Not only does a post like that give you "props" for helping us with this, it also explains how we got the information that we are providing to the community.

More then likely, you will start seeing more conversations with you posted in here in order to get other players, such as yourself, to help out with anything that was discussed in the conversation. Or, for times sake, you may just see a post with "Me and so-and-so were chatting and we think this might be correct. What do you guys think?".

Either way, your name is now a part of this game, either as a character or as a player.

I will treat you as a player from now on (since you posted on this forum, and to do so as a character is a huge "no-no"). If I have caused you any hurt feelings, I apologize completely. That was not my intention. I was merely trying to figure out something that everyone had a question about.

And no, I wasn't trying to hit on you. Smile

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on these forums so I just wanted to say I'm glad to have found this place. My first experience with an ARG was EA Games -Majestic, but I had no idea how to categorize the type of game that is was and gave up looking for similar games ages ago. Anyway, I discoverd this site after reading the term Alternate Reality Games in a news article last week, googled the term and arrived at argn.com.

Back to the topic of this thread...

It's probably nothing but I found reference to a section "2464" in the Catholic Catechism:

The eighth commandment forbids misrepresenting the truth in our relations with others. This moral prescription flows from the vocation of the holy people to bear witness to their God who is the truth and wills the truth. Offenses against the truth express by word or deed a refusal to commit oneself to moral uprightness: they are fundamental infidelities to God and, in this sense, they undermine the foundations of the covenant.
