Too late... This game looks interesting, but am I finding it too late to enjoy it all? It seems pretty in depth, and I would hate to be doing the whole thing feeling like I am 2 miles behind everyone playing catch-up in race thats just 100 yards long

You are never too late to join this, if you go to the first podcast that has a story overview up til now, I joined about a year in (just before the main game launched) and I've caught up fine, if any old infromation is used then generally someone will put a link to the section about it, and if not just search for it (and watch out for the dreaded trout ).

Sweet, I was thinking this might be something my wife and I could get intersted in. Should be fun giving it a go, but she's a bit smarter than me, so I'll just watch T.V. while she solves the thing hahaha

It is pretty easy to catch up at http://story.perplexcity.com/
Plus, if you don't want to read and just want to listen to a 5-minute recap, then check out the podcast: http://story.perplexcity.com/podcast/

Surfing a few forums, I saw a link to Perplex City in someone's signature. After I looking at the site, I googled a bit and found this forum...seemed like the best place for info, and to get started.

I wish people would stop it with the 'dreaded trout'. The trout is a term of respect, and is generally used in the polite fashion it was intended. See this post for trout details, if you've forgotten.

just a reminder to any newbies who are worried about the backlog, there's going to be a special IRC chat Q&A thingy this weekend i think (unless plans have changed while i've been away) about which the details can be found in the meta thread :)

Hey people. I'm another newbie and just wanted to drop by and say hi.
I heard about perplexcity at Thinkgeek over a month ago, but I couldn't tell if it was UK-centric or not. PC Gamer ran an article this month with the nice info that the game was in fact US friendly, so here I am.
I have 8 packs en route from Thinkgeek right now and can't wait to join in on the fun.
