Hmm..
Might be a META sight?
Looking through the source, it mentions the, "Lost Interactive Experience" and says that it's, "Coming Soon".

Hi, new here. Got interested in this stuff through all the viral marketing for Lost (and Doctor Who, but that's another story). At any rate, I totally volunteer to keep checking this website for any updates...

I'd guess this might eventually be the trailhead for the ARG itself, considering that they hid the "coming soon" all ARGy like in the source code.
EDIT: Or maybe another fan site.

Surely no IG site should be entitled "thelostexperience". It seems far more appropriate that it be from Dharma or one of those other fiction-universe companies.

From the New York Times article:
Quote:
What's different about the Lost Experience, which will feature new characters, is that it is being devised by the show's writers, not by marketers, according to Michael Benson, a senior vice president at ABC.
Maybe it's irrational, but I'm a little worried about the writers of the actual show being in charge of the game as well, simply because with a show like Lost, they must have all kinds of things planned out for the next few seasons or something, which leads me to believe that they might be trying to make this game into something way more linear than the successful ARGs have been. I'm worried about it being over-moderated, basically. Unfounded?

Genuine fansite.

2) www.thelostexperience.com -- Dedicated to the new alternate reality game from ABC, thelostexperience.com is a fan operated wiki and forum dedicated to collecting the clues from this summers "Lost Experience" in one place.
This comes from the main page at http://www.thetailsection.com/ (also under their News button).
Also, by using the info from the WHOIS,
Name Server: NS2.RAIND0G.COM
I find that www.raind0g.com hosted on the exact same IP address, and docarztSPLAT adelphia.net is listed as the owner/responsible person, the same DocArzt running the Tail Section fansite.
This is a good thing, to have a staging area for fans to flock to when the game ramps up.

Here's the AP article at a site that doesn't require a login:
ginormous url
"Clues will vary by continent." I wonder how that's going to work?
edit: fixed long url - rowan

There was a small piece on "CBCNewsWorld: The Hour" last night mentioning The LOST Experience extended reality. Apparantly, it's going to be a concurrent storyline that runs parallel to the LOST season, but won't necessarily interact with it.

For those who were unaware...
There is already a thread about lost , not only the show in general but any pending ARG, here in news and rumors...
That thread is already 12+ pages long. Perhaps this thread or one specifically about this ARG would be a better way for newbies to get started?
