As a self-proclamed Sudoku god, this was just way way too easy. I like the symbol format though, maybe I'll try to find a book on it...

Although, I see from the responses that everyone got a different conversion question (at least, mine was from dessert spoons to tablespoons, and I see different ones here). Interesting, perhaps to keep people from listing the answers? Not that anyone who knows google couldn't get it, but why else change it?

Not that it much matters, unless the blog that was mentioned earlier in this thread is keeping track of all of the answers, but the question I was asked was, "What is 50% of a great gross?"

1 great gross = 12 * 12 * 12 = 1728

1728 * 50% = 864.

I'm kinda curious how many questions Google has in circulation for each puzzle.

I got "How many millimeters in 50 gross Didot points?" Well, a Didot point is a printing measurement that was standardized at .375mm ... but unfortunately "2700" (50x144x.375) isn't the right answer. ??? Guess I'll try Google Converter as well ...

EDIT: OK, it's also not "2707.2" which is 50x144x.376, which I also found as a conversion ratio.

EDIT:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's randomly rounded up to "2707" ... very disappointing.

Today's didn't seem any harder than the last "clean-up" puzzle.

well, it's hard if you don't know how to dig fFor ISBN numbers. so the question is: did everyone get the same one? mine is ISBN 0860780848

I agree. I don't know what the strategy is for these things, I just solved the 1st 2 with dumb luck on the 1st or 2nd try. My question today was way random though. It asked me what came before school in ISBN (some ISBN #). So I googled the number and it gave me the title of the book which had school in the title. I wonder what kind of a question they can come up with on the last day that can't easily be looked up in google, yet 10,000 people can answer it. I want one of those cryptexes (crypteces?, crypti?)

My question today was "Who has hidden enemies in ISBN 0801878772?"

ah. so that would be a no. Different books, different questions. Mine was of the fForm "What goes with X in Z?" where the book's title is "X and Y in Z" -- thus the answer is Y.

"If it isn't Padua or Florence we are looking for in ISBN 0300061250, what is it?"

Just to check, they update at 6pm GMT, yeah?

Society or Religion?
How was your question worded?

My question was on ISBN 0300076290 and the answer was "childbirth"

I think the REAL question was "Do you know how to copy and paste text into a Google search?"

Neither actually: Siena. Worded as above, which isn't actually the clearest way I now realise. Still got it first time round mind you.
