I am simply trying to say that, in the real world, I would have told "N9" to "shove it where the sun don't shine" a long time ago.

On the other side of this: I understand where "N9" is coming from. Asking the wrong question or saying the wrong thing to the wrong person, and it's "lights out".

However, I said it before and I'll say it again, if "N9" is so concerned about what might come out of people's mouths, then he/she needs to moderate the chat. This not only controls those of us who are likely to say or do the wrong thing, but it also allows the PM to forward the questions that he/she feels might be of the most use to us in making a decision on who the correct suspect is.

Sounds like N9 isn't giving you help with giving you a direction to question. I agree, if N9 is allowing you to question the suspects directly he shouldn't complain about the questions. Moderating in terms of one juror asking questions at a time probably would help keep the signal to noise ration down.

Hello, I would like to apologise to WisdomWarrior about the last time, I was
wound up and I was wrong for saying those things to him.
The next interrogation will be on Friday at 21:00 BST.
You will be questioning Jenny Morris. Same place as last time.

Narrator9.

Get ready folks

And nice of him to apologize

As for tactics next time around, just ask your questions, our fancy-pancy interrogation techniques don't work (well, the aggresive ones anyway, hit on her, shall we?)

Laughing joking, joking. Let's not hit on her

I find it interesting, in a good way, that N9 had an emotional reaction to how you interacted with another character. As though N9 felt suddenly caught in the middle of a confrontation between two people he brought together.

If this is a 1 PM game, s/he is a good actor, or insane.

Lora269: I'm not putting names with the Q's and A's

Narrator9: i must tell you that after the last

interrogation, Danny Morris went home and confronted

Jenny - he is now living in his brothers lounge

Narrator9: a divorce is being filed

Lora269: I figured that would happen

Narrator9: yes

Narrator9: shall we start?

Lora269: yes

Narrator9: ok

JennyMorris: first question?

Lora269: Ok Jenny, may I ask, where were you on the night

JennyMorris: i was at home making the dinner

JennyMorris: it was chicken casserole

Lora269: Was anyone else there with you?

JennyMorris: no

JennyMorris: Daniel was at work

Lora269: Ok, how long were you involved with Jack

Harrison

JennyMorris: hello tipsila

JennyMorris: a few months

JennyMorris: back in January i think

JennyMorris: around then

JennyMorris: i would take things to Daniel at the office,

Lora269: Yes, tipsila

Lora269: How long after that did you two engage in a

sexual relationship?

JennyMorris: a couple of weeks after

JennyMorris: he was so easy to fall in love with

Lora269: Did you two have any problems at all?

JennyMorris: not really no, we both knew we only wanted

the sex

JennyMorris: Daniel was shit in bed

Lora269: Did you just say that he was easy to fall in

love with?

JennyMorris: i needed someone who could give it to me

JennyMorris: yes, i couldnt stop thinking about him

JennyMorris: i wanted him to give it to me at any

oppurtunity

Lora269: Then why didn't you pursue a more intimate

relationship with him?

Lora269: If you were so in love with him>

JennyMorris: i still had feelings for Daniel

Lora269: Would you say that you were "comfortable" with

Daniel...and that's why you didn't leave him for Jack?

JennyMorris: i wanted to stop the affair, Jack did not.

He said he would tell Daniel about the whole thing if i

did

JennyMorris: i wanted him to keep it secret, it looks

like someone else kept him quiet for me

JennyMorris: Jack couldnt provide for me like Daniel

could, except in the bed department

Lora269: Why would he tell Daniel about the

affair...wouldn't that mean him getting fired or worse?

JennyMorris: he just wanted to ruin it all if he didnt

get what he wanted

Lora269: Jenny, do you think your husband killed Jack?

JennyMorris: i didnt know that Daniel knew

Lora269: Who in Daniel's office might have wanted to tell

Daniel about you and Jack?

JennyMorris: only Jack

JennyMorris: no one else knew

JennyMorris: i dont think so anyway

Lora269: Did you have any other affairs with any of

Jack's employees?

Lora269: oops...Daniel's employees

JennyMorris: no

JennyMorris: im not a slut, Jack was different

matalanifesto: how was he special?

Lora269: I didn't say you were a slut...just asking a

logical question.

matalanifesto: what drew you to him

JennyMorris: he was a charmer

JennyMorris: the way he spoke to me

JennyMorris: he was always flirting

matalanifesto: don't suppose you et a lot of that at the

library

JennyMorris: no

Lora269: Did anyone you work with know you were having an

affair with Jack?

JennyMorris: not that i know of, no

Lora269: ok

Lora269: Anyone else have any questions?

matalanifesto: not really sorry

WisdomWarrior: me either

Lora269: Ok jenny, I think we're done for now.

WisdomWarrior: yeah, good questions lora

Lora269: Thank you for coming in.

JennyMorris: good luck to all of you

Lora269: you too Jenny

JennyMorris: thank you all

WisdomWarrior: take care jenny

JennyMorris from x.x.x.246 left the chat 23 seconds ago

Narrator9: ok then

Lora269: Sorry it wasn't long...but I think I did a fair

job on the questions.

Narrator9: share your findings with the others, well done

Lora269: Thank you...

Lora269: Have you found anything else out about the case

that we should know?

Narrator9: not that you dont already know

Narrator9: i will tell you if anything happens

:/ Sorry guys, I was busy, I couldn't make it

The questions were good, we didn't upset her.

I think this gives her motive, but she's not very high up on my suspects list because:

A. If she was killing him to shut him up, why go through all the trouble of such a violent crime? She didn't sound that mad at him, she was praising him instead of insulting him, so a gunshot or a sing stab wound would sufice, and she wouldn't even both taking the knife

B. She was specific with her alibi, she said "i was at home making the dinner it was chicken casserole" instead of "I was at home making diner" that shows that she's either covering her tracks well, or she really was making chicken casserole

So she's still a suspect, in my eyes, just not my #1

I will agree, expect for one minor twist: If Jenny did not kill Jack, then she definitely knows who does (if she has anything to do with the crime at all, that is).

She could have easily hired someone else to kill Jack and still have an alibi. Maybe Jack was going to tell about the affair (she was obviously afraid of that because she commented to such)?

I wouldn't count her out just yet if I were you. Smile

*Still paying attention to this one the best I can*

On a side note: Add some more questions about the other suspects. Jenny would have probably been able to give you some information about the "drug dealer" or "Jack's boss" (did Jack express some concern about any of these people, etc.). Just trying to help out where I am unable to do so.

Hm....I'll be honest, I didn't think of this (doh)

Yes, this is possible, but to prove this we'll need to find the acctuall killer, and then it'll point back to her

And I never counted her out, she's just not the target of all my attention

NOTE: I split the code in two as to not strech the forum, it should be one line, though

EDIT: Hmm...Rot didn't do anything, I ran it through Base64 and I got word groupings of 5, it's possible that he coded it with something (vigenere?) and put it through base

EDIT2: It's almost definatly Vigenere, I think the key is 5 letters long...

EDIT3 (come on, anybody gunna help me out here?): Narrator says he has no idea what he's doing, so he's not much help...

What is the subject of the e-mail? Is there anything else that might be a key?

The fact that they were split into groups of 5 makes me think of ROT, but I tried that (base64 then ROT the result) and got nothing, whether I was reading the result forwards or backwards.

I'll keep on it for the next few minutes and get back to you if I find anything.

For Completions sake, and to help those who want to try this out, the result when you base64 the e-mail is:

Code:
ZFARS RTRNZ ESXEU HDHIA IJPMC RGKKW TNNXB LWTRS AZVYQ ONINF MBRSY MDIZO QTVPC VVNNP OJFVJ HXYWE

Also, I tried "Jenny" as a key and didn't get anything, but it is 5 letters long so it may be of some use.
