[SPEC] History Mysteries

Hello, I'm new to the unfiction forums, Perplex City and ARGs in general so please be patient with me.
Only last month I stumbled upon ARGs while surfing the web for games to pass the time. Needless to say,
once I discovered ARGs and Perplex City, I was hooked. I have spent the last few weeks learning
about ARGs, reading these forums and catching up on Perplex City. And, I believe I have found a couple
of things that have not been mentioned before or at least I can't find anything via the search or
from reading the posts. And, on top of all that, I'm not even sure I'm posting in the right place.

Well, anyway, here's what I've discovered:

  • Go to the Academy Museum and scroll UP to see the word 'Which' at the top left corner of the page.
Don't know if there is anything to this but thought I would mention it just in case.

  • At WhipSmartIce first go to the green pasture and click on the truck then visit the factory then the
shop and click on the picture of the cow to go to the history section but don't click on the cow that is
there instead just move your mouse around and you will hear sounds like slurping an icecream and
some musical sounds you can click on. - This works best if you turn the music off first so you can hear.
If you leave the area you want be able to hear these sounds again until you revisit the pasture and
click on the truck then return to the factory then the shop then back to the history section again.

I don't know if either of these are important but from what I have learned so far some things,
though at first only hinted at, will eventually become relevant as the ungame unfolds.

Oh, and sorry this post is so long.

Welcome to the UnFiction family, Sylvia! Very Happy

Now, as to your second finding, with the slurping and whatnot:

Hunh? Shocked

LOL! yeah, it happens.

In the shop, if you run the mouse over what would appear to be the little icecream buckets, you get a slurping noise. What appears to be a slight glitch means that you can get this on the history page as well...

How random...

Thanks modern_hero for pointing that out.

Obviously, I spent way too much time on that site and couldn't see the wood for the trees.

But is there anything to the word 'Which'?

Hmm, pretty random indeed...

... from the source. Instincts say its nothing, but then we don't rule anything out here for that reason! Can't remember seeing this before, anyone?

I can't locate it on a search, but I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before and discounted as a mistake / lint.

Just because I'm avoiding doing real work: here. There's another thread which simply refers to that one and then descends into discussion regarding the number of the topic, figured you don't really care about that. 'Which' is such a hard thing to search for.

Anyway, my plan was to say 'look, it has been mentioned before but it's odd that we've spotted a mistake on a website and it hasn't been corrected' however it was only mentioned in meta and I doubt MC watch us that closely. So my main point has been lost and I don't really know what else to say. It could so easily be a mistake (in the work I was avoiding, I couldn't work out why my program was printing a particular phrase when I'd commented it out but then I found the line lurking in a completely random place further up and have no idea how it got there) but it is a lot less explainable than the odd mysterious V that has been found (as cool as it would be for that to be a puzzle relating to V, it's so much more likely to be a Ctrl V problem). Meh, I'm babbling, I should have stopped with the link. But if it is a puzzle then we've missed all the other parts of it.

In other historical mysteries, we still haven't found a real reason for Violet's disappearing post! Sorry, I just have to mention that every so often. It's tempting to bookmark the page so I don't have to keep searching for it, but I just have to search my own posts now, it's too easy. So many things in this game could so easily be MC mistakes or well hidden clues to amazing puzzles that we've totally overlooked. But nice to see these things brought up.
