Yeah, the US got the clip show last week Wednesday. It was really helpful, I'd missed a lot of the stuff with the Tailies, apparently!

Lucky, the UK people getting to start a whole day before we do! Very Happy I'm totally jealous.

By the way... who the cupcakes is the fat guy with the messy hair (not thingy who won the lottery) who talks about getting the blasty sticks with Jack before he goes off to find them?

That guy was Arzt, he was a high school teacher of some kind. He was in a few episodes up until that point, kind of letting us get to know him, and then he went kablooie. Poor Arzt. There was a point where Hurley said to Jack, "Dude... you got some Arzt on your shirt." Eeew. People chunks.[/quote]

That's Artz, he's a really sarcastic high school science teacher with a doctorate. He kind of pops up and then disappears just as quickly, kind of an extra with a speaking part for a few episodes. You'll see.

And Hurley is so not named 'thingy'. Wink *glomps Hurley*

EDIT: Beat me to it.

There's a tiny sign of life over at www.thehansofoundation.org/
It simply says

Namaste is easy to find on Wikipedia.

Also the code contains a tab-index of 36.0pt. It's fairly unusual to see tab-index used on a website. In fact, I've never seen it, and have been through plenty of CSS over the last few years.

And what is the sun symbol used as the favicon?

So is Artz blown up when they open the hatch? I remember them shouting 'no', but I thought that was Locke or Jack jumping onto Hurley to stop him running out into the explosion for some reason (I think because he didn't realise what was happening). And thank you, I couldn't remember if it was Hurley or Harley.

You can tell I was only partly watching the clip show, the rest of me was typing at the keyboard (back to the TV).

Seems the Hans Foundation is saying they're both still there, and we're about to find out more about them in the show (hello), and that this site is now closed (goodbye). But that's just speculation.

It's earlier than that, Arzt is telling them about how dynamite is very dangerous and taking to them like idiots and then he proceeds to gesture WITH THE DYNAMITE and it ignites and blows him up.

Wiki?

Hey, I'm looking forward to The Lost Experience. The last ARG I played was "I Love Bees" and I got a huge kick out of it. Anybody planning on starting a wiki for TLE? It was invaluable during ILB, and was a great way to collaborate, see hidden connections, theorize, etc. I don't really have access to the kind of hosting necessary for such a thing, but if anybody does, let me know and maybe we can get the ball rolling.

jegger- The website http://www.thelostexperience.com/ has been said to be the place where there will be a wiki and probably a forum for the game in one of the articles on it, I forget which one exactly. I'm still going to be looking here for it, but if that is going to be an actual wiki site, I'll be there too. Smile

I have no idea if any of this is actually true, but there you go.

Official Thread

I know that this has already been mentioned, but I just want to second that we get a separate thread for TLE. It's no longer a rumor Smile

split thread

Hi, moderator here. Just letting you know I've split off this "pre-game" discussion thread, and started the new topic at the point of launch.

Please visit http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14732 for further tracking of The Hanso Foundation website, which the UK got a head start on today.

Enjoy!
