umm... thats it Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I kinda know what you mean. I think I could write an outline for that movie right now, and it'd be pretty close to the truth...that sort of worries me. I've only watched all the trailers (including the one you're talking about, NOT including the new tv spot that supposedly just came out today) over and over I-don't-know-how-many times... and I shouldn't be able to figure out the plot from them. There's something wrong there...so the WBs better have included some friggin' awesome plot twists along the way to blow my mind...or else I'm not going to be able to help feeling a teeny bit disappointed, no matter how cool the Superbrawl turns out to be.
Er, yeah. I could have just said "I agree" and saved myself all that typing...um, so how about them aquapolis logs? *cough*

This is slightly off-topic, being more of a technical issue with the DVD, but was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

I bought the Region 4 version of the discs because I live in Australia. Now, aside from being annoyed at the lack of commentaries, I almost blew my stack when I discovered that Warner Brothers had shoved an ad for Movie World at the start of the movie!

I don't know about anyone else, but I think it's *disgusting* that after forking out AUS$42 for a DVD I have to sit through a crappy ad that I can't ffwd or skip through!

I absolutely adore these movies but I'm sorely tempted to ask for a refund. Confused

Uncanny...

I also live in oz... and I paid slightly less for my copy 'coz I bought it from Wooloes... but again I digress...

A mate of mine who plays DVDs thru his XBox can skip the movie world propaganda, and go straight to the dolby demo. Cool. I put my copy in my parents DVD player when I visited them on the weekend, and when I hit skip, the DVD locked up and I was prompted for a 4 digit password!

Freaking me out. I tried a few combinations to no avail, and ended up getting too weirded out by this and bounced the DVD player. Once I watched the ad, all was well with the world... curious...

I've yet to validate this on my DVD player at home, or even on the DVD player in my laptop, but it was creepy nontheless.

I do agree that it's deplorable to put an ad in front of a DVD... that was one of the reasons I love DVDs! But Warner Brothers has a long and nasty history of it: the first DVD I ever bought was Swordfish (and didn't I just buy that one for the human-claymore scene) and that had a promo reel before the movie advertising DVDs! On a DVD! HELLOOOO People!!!

Anyway, I was also a little let down by the special features... I mean sure you get a second disc... but there's not really THAT much on there. Don't get me wrong, I was fascinated by all of 'em, but as DVD special features go, Revolutions flopped right up there with LoTR:TTT.

But, ranting aside, has anyone else on the international stage noticed this strange passwordy phenomena? What does it get you if you put in the right password? Should I just ask for a refund on the DVD? Cool

Interesting! That hasn't happened to me yet, but at least I've been forewarned!

I doubt I'll get a response, but I've sent a complaint to Village Roadshow (who distribute the DVD) and have stressed that I will NEVER visit Movie World because their ad p***d me off so much! Wink

Of course, the ad for Movie World will probably only appear on Region 4 DVDs because they're targeted for the Aussie market. This makes me wonder if international discs have different ads, or - better yet - no ads at all. If it's the latter, I'm sorely tempted to return mine and get an import!

In Europe, music CDs that don't play on certain devices have been classified as 'faulty' and can now be returned to the manufacturer. I vote that DVDs with adverts or features that you can't skip should be put into the same category!
