Hi all (been a while)!
What a freaking nut.
There's so much going on here, that I cannot honestly believe this was true. I mean, I believe the lawyer got the letter, but without the confirmation by EA, I cannot believe this was legit by the person who sent it.
I mean, trying to blame a game for (1) your kid drawing a picture of a bear holding a knife? (2) you getting kicked? (is that right?) (3) losing your apartment (4) your car getting reposessed (4) two heart attacks, and of course (5) the leaky heart due to #2, and inferred (6 & 7) losing your husband and children?
Could it also be because you're a dimwit? Wow, that's pathetic.

I agree with the label for this woman.
If her husband was so abusive, why didn't she take him to court? She should have had him arrested and sued. What nut doesn't tell the other people in the house about the game and possible telephone calls? What person signs up for a game that calls you when it might put you in personal danger from an abusive spouse? I don't think it gives anyone the right to physically attack someone, but would you sign up for a game that makes calls to you if your SO/parent/housemates would hit you for receiving calls from unknown people?
Gee, you don't think the car was repossessed because you defaulted on your car loan do you?
Sounds like another person looking for someone to blame beyond themselves, or the person/people truly guilty of harming her... sad. Really.

Well, although the case is clearly without merit, She didn't play. Her claim is that her kids played and she got caught in the crossfire.

No her kids played "Bad for a day" there is nothing that says who at her residence had signed up for the game; was it her, her children or her husband? And since she knew it was a game why didn't she ask them to stop the calls during the game - why did she wait until now to sue?

Bad for a day? I think she meant Conker's "Bad fur day". Which is a Rare game not EA. At least get your facts straight if your going to file a frivolous lawsuit.
We really need a :shakes head: emoticon.

Thanks Kona!
The last one conveys my feelings about this story most.
What the hell is that first one doing?
The second one is more shakes head in surprise than shakes head in disapproval which is what I was going for.
Here I found this one.
