Its a shame to see some of you havent got your copies yet.
Anyway... how long do you think it will be until we will make "More tales from the third planet"?

Slight rephrase. Anyone else want to write another one?

Thank you very much for sending on the fully-inclusive version of the Tales from Earth manuscript. We have delayed sending out the final several copies of the book pending this update. However, when we began the process of creating a new edition, we discovered that (unsurprisingly) the cover art is no longer the correct size for the now-thicker book. Is there any way you could please provide revised cover art, as well? The specifications now required are as follows:
• Your cover file must be a PDF
• Your spine should be 66.672 Postscript points wide (0.93")
• Your entire cover should be 948.672 X 666 Postscript points (13.18" X 9.25")
• Your spine will begin at 441 Postscript points (6.125") from the edge of your cover
My apologies for the excessive delay in bringing you these news. We look forward to completing the revision process and sending out the remaining copies of the book to of your long-suffering contributors as soon as we possible can.
Many thanks,
Ellen Moriyama
The replacement cover image was sent out yesterday, so hopefully people should be getting their books sometime during next week.

Does anyone want to buy a copy from me?

I'd love to get the book, however, I don't have a credit card. It irks me that there is no real way beyond sending a money order or cashiers check to someone snail mail and then waiting for the book. I wouldn't mind doing that but that would be pricy if someone is in the UK and has to send it to me in the US. I think it's like $1.29 or something to send a single letter overseas.
I'd love to buy it from you Chris but I think that the cost of shipping would be outrageous. You'd have to send it to the US from where ever you are.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be willing to entertain them.

You can use a debit card, which is to say you need a bank account.
I'm really quite happy to have two copies though.

You definitely need two. That way you can read it and still have a perfect condition copy.

Oh, I don't need to read it! I did that enough times when I was editing it!

All author copies of the revised version of Tales from Earth have been processed, and should be received by 17 May (if not earlier). Authors who received an earlier edition of the book will not be receiving a revised edition, though the revised copy is available for purchase on the Lulu site.
If any authors after this date still do not have any copy at all, please ask them to contact us directly so we may investigate the matter.
On a side note, we at Seaside Press would like to say it has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you for your patience and professionalism.
All my best,
Ellen Moriyama
If you don't get it by the 17th, CC the tales.from.earth account too.

Has anyone got a reply from Seaside after updating their author information? I sent them my address but never got a response, I then mailed them again to ask if they had gotten the first mail .... no response. And of course I have no author copy.
Can anyone who is in regular communication with them check to see if they now have an address for David Donachie.
Thanks!

Well, unfortunately, the only plastic I have is my ATM card, which doesn't double as a debit card. I do have a bank account. I'll probably just wait for a chance to either get a card or something or if someone in the US is selling it. Doubtful that any large business (B&N, Borders, etc.) will carry it, but it's possible.

Due to the copyrights its under and the printing methods its practicly impossible that they will stock it im afriad.

I guess the only possibility is talking my parents into letting me use their credit card and pay them back for it. $14 plus shipping isn't too bad. Besides, there's always the holiday or present kind of stuff.
