Synthasia website has been re-titled to relaunching in May 2006 and Dale has added his email address.

edit* Delusional noticed the title has changed yet again, "Relaunching Any Day Now".

The second quote is exactly as it appears on the Synthasia site. Notice the lack of either a colon or hyphen between the word email and his addy. Almost reads declarative...kind of like an order.

And the game is afoot!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "trailer" video has some shots of things that are not part of the comic book feel.

Notably: Two hands backlit on a computer screen, the Purple Handprint from the 2003 game, a Scarab? Beetle (Or a cockroach? the Scarab would fit with the imagry from the 2003 game), and several tiangles overlapping in primary? Colors (goes by too fast to really get a good look at it). edit: there are also clouds, but I can't tell if they are "real" or comic book...

Is it possible to get a screen capture without decompiling the flash to get the images?

I've been hoping to join up for CTW2, but is this the only thread following it? I'm a bit new around these forums, but I've been checking out the guide and trail for the original CTW, as well as the posting rules, but I'm kind of unsure. Is there a roll call anywhere or something else I should be posting to?

Wandering Scribble, this is the only place to post about CTW2 for the moment. Perhaps when the game officially starts, the powers that be, will give us our own little place on the board.

Nope, this is it for right now. once the game is actually afoot, i am sure more threads will pop up, and i am also fairly sure thise will move out of potential and get it's one forum section. as for roll call, the only one i am aware is being done by players of I Love Bees on the lost threads - but that is because someone who played ILB wanted to know what other beekeepers were playing. No biggie. Welcome to the forums! I am a huge "Dave's Games" fan - you will love it for your first ARG!

I just finished reading through the Melangerie and Varian guides of the original CTW. Wow...that was some really great work that went on there. It was also fun for me to read, since I live in NJ, near some of the real towns that were mentioned throughout the game. Too bad I didn't get involved with CTW....I could've offered to help out with Tracie Schmidt's rescue in Hackensack! Razz

Anyways, one thing I noticed in the Varian guide is that during the July and August periods, there seems to have been some discussion/worry about division or arguments in the group, although this doesn't seem to be an in-game thing. I've been checking archived threads, but I can't really figure out what this was. Was there some kind of argument that started in the group that was playing CTW, or was it something completely different?

There was a discussion at one point (don't remember exactly when it occurred time wise) over Bruce Abbott's possible role as an antagonist to Dale. Some thought Bruce was helping Dale and others thought Bruce could be one of the bad guys. Turns out Bruce was Dales friend and not the source of the problem (Don Marzano was).

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Now I'm really looking forward to CTW2...only two more days!
