Explosion Rocks Old Town Apartments
Eyewitness reports have indicated that a major explosion has occurred in the Old Town, in the vicinity of the Caldera subway station. First reports suggest that the explosion originated in an apartment building off Halltrap Road.
Firefighters and emergency medical services are rushing toward the explosion site, though they have not yet arrived as of this writing. The cause of the blast is not yet known, nor is the extent of the damage.
The Sentinel's Jeremy Claridge is hurrying toward the action, and the Sentinel will update this report as new information is confirmed.

Just got the text. Does this relate to the Miranda issue?
[SPEC] Is this explosion to cover the movements of Miranda or something else.
Other thought. The word caldera links into the word volcano.
cal•de•ra P Pronunciation Key (k l-dâr , -dîr , käl-)
n.
A large crater formed by volcanic explosion or by collapse of a volcanic cone.
[Spanish, cauldron, caldera, from Late Latin cald ria. See cauldron.]

Also from the sentinel:
A major explosion occurred this afternoon in the Old Town, in the vicinity of the Caldera subway station. First reports suggest that the explosion originated in an apartment building off Halltrap Road, but it has now been confirmed that the affected building is Highview on Centine Way, just off The Shift.
The building is heavily damaged and ablaze, though firefighters have sent in rescue squads to the aid of any occupants who may yet remain alive inside. It is feared that there will be no survivors, however, due to the severity and unexpected nature of the blast. The cause of the blaze is not yet known, nor is the extent of the damage.
Explosion at Centine Way
Emergency medical teams are waiting outside to assist any seriously injured building occupants; they are already treating and transporting a number of bystanders with injuries who were apparently struck by debris when the explosion occurred.
"It was just awful," said Ryan Howdell, a 23-year-old resident of a neighbouring building. "I was walking along to get a cup of tea and suddenly there was this loud boom. My ears are still ringing from it."
The Sentinel's Jeremy Claridge is present on the scene, and the Sentinel will continue to update this report as new information is confirmed.
Do we know of anyone that lives around that area?

Should we be worried about kurt as:
Quote:
I went over to Miranda's apartment in the Old Town this afternoon and let myself in. The place was a bit of a mess because she was unpacking from her conference - clothes all over the place, that sort of thing. It took me a little while to find the note from Cognivia, but it was still hiding behind the same book. I settled myself down on her bed and logged into Cognivia using her details. Details of the Ceretin 6 trial flashed up in front of me.

I'm meeting up with Violet later today to figure out a game plan, but before that I'm going to follow one of your suggestions and visit Miranda's apartment again to see if there's anything useful there I can find.

The Wiki doesn't have any of the address details mentioned in the report, but that doesn't mean much.
Argh, Kurt, no!
Brr, goosebumps!

Isn't it about time Perplex city started to stream 24 hours news channels to Earth? How are we supposed to cope with this drip-feed of information in an age when everything is covered from 20 different angles on 20 rolling news channels....?

not just a fire but an explosion, in a flat. Its not likely to be conicidence
if it is miranda's flat she could have some remotly activated 'security system'
either that or some of her friends popped by to set it up.

What about if the ex-flat was where Miranda was laying low? Could she have been bumped off. Could it be the work of V , it has been a bit quite on the V front. Could Link her to the heist!

That was the first thing that I thought of when I received the text message!
Lets all pray that Kurt is still with us as we need to get to the bottom of this!
