Has anybody noticed that in the press release, the date in parantheses is May 6, 2006, even though today is May 5, and on the main site, it states the correct date?

Is it the 6th in Australia now (9pm UK)? I can never work out the time differences.

Well, the PMs didn't realize how many people would be calling that number Wednesday night, either Wink Methinks they might not have realized quite what they were getting into, with all of this.

I really can't understand how the PMs wouldn't check if there was a website of THF.org before they sent the masses there. That's just strange. Poor Dreyfus workers.

We are all assuming that "Log in at THF.org May 1 This is safe for now" is the correct solve. I mean it seems like it's right but it doesn't make any sense. I really doubt that the PMs would be so sloppy as to direct the masses to a legit site. I'm just sayin' is all......

I was looking at the newsletter page and noticed that the little box that links to other pages was odd. It has a picture of the Worldwide Wellness and Prevention Development Program's world map, but the dot it shows is in Europe! Could this possibly be a clue?

Great spec shiny!

Or maybe since Hugh wrote the Press Release, maybe he's communicating with Persephone?

News update

There is a news update on the home page. It links to a pdf file that speaks of a problem with the web site and gives contact information for Hugh McIntyre;
(206) 861-5017/Hugh.McIntyre@thehansofoundation.org
Interesting is that the area code is separate from the rest of the info. It looks like the "861-5017/" is part of the email address.

Ooo, that makes sense. I guess we'll find out when and if people who wrote to Hugh get responses, huh? Very Happy

Oh man can I do it, can I, can I??? Pretty please!!

But seriously August, the phone number URL format thing is just Adobe Reader thinking it should be one word.

Oh and you might want to check the page carefully, the pdf has a new website link at the bottom.

Wonder why they don't have a decent head-shot of Alvar Hanso... The only time he appears is in that black-and-white fuzzy one they re-use, when all the other senior members of staff have their cheesy pics...

Are they trying to hide his identity? Would we recognise him? My bets are on WWII war criminal Twisted Evil

I think they're trying to make him seem like a Howard Hughes-esque Billionaire Hermit type... maybe he keeps his toenail clippings in jars around his office Laughing

My bets on the no good picture of Hanso thing is that he was unavailable for the photo shoot, and hasn't been for awhile.

We know he's missing because of this line from the phone calls when you call Hanso's line:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(American female voice)...Where is Alvar Hanso? What have they done with him? Who is in charge?...
<STATIC>

Don't know if thats a spoiler, if your this far in the thread you should know it but its best to err on the side of caution.

If I had to take a guess I'd say he's the leader of "the others" on the island in Lost because the guy who we originally thought was their leader before, the character known as Mr. Friendly, who we now know according to Henry isn't the leader, quotes Hanso in the episode "The Hunting Party". 'The others also refer to some ambiguous leader. Seeing ambiguous references to mysterious leaders in more than one place makes me think their the same person.

Man I haven't posted in forever, it feels good to be back on an ARG, even if I am mostly just lurking.

Remember the phone message on Hanso's mailbox, where

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the woman interrupts and demands to know "Where is Alvar Hanso? What have you done with him?"

Maybe that's the only picture Hanso left behind before he was kidnapped/evacuated to Saturn/eaten by Joop Very Happy

(edited to match everyone else's spoilers)
