[Group Movies] BeeKeeper Productions And it is that wondrous time of year again, to begin thinking up new ways to have some fun with ourselves.
There currently is a Skype based planning group chat where the specifics of the upcoming vids are being hammered out, by all means, grab the latest most almost stable version of skype and drop on by.
"Sketch Comedy 2 " in Progress Sketches:
Brainstorming "Halo War 2" is a halo-ized version of World War 2. Meant for good humor, and nothing offensive being included, we are going to have 1-2 people portray each major power of the war. This video intends to present an analogous satire from all major parties to their Halo2 Xbox live equivalents (German screaming/profane/actually good, children anyone?)
Awaiting Video Filming #1 is lonely
Awaiting Audio dubbing Lost, American Idol
Complete Home Invasion, 24
All audio (Voice dubbing) will be taken seperatly via skype for quality purposes aswell as convienience in filming. Through a few already it's much better when no one has to worry about being quiet on set, and we can talk openly about what is being done.
Anyone interested in helping with either video editing/cutting capture or play/role, please by all means post your intent below.
We hope to run most of the scenes by improv and a few select scenes by script, we will begin filming in mid-may, so don't worry about rushing or being left out of the loop.
We will be having FUN this time around, and not just hardcore filming like its serious showbiz. Everyone participating is encouraged to act out and play their role in anyway they see amusing or entertaining. Coordinated efforts will however be restricted as "safe areas" where the only improve-fun-goodness will take place in the background.
If you have other ideas or thoughts about a Beekeeper Productions Vid, please post them below or email them to Incitatus4(splat@)gmail(dot.)com
I will get back to you in a timely and efficient manner.

Let's have a world war 1 video. Everyone sits in trenches taking potshots with smgs, maybe have a scorpion tank fall over a ledge because WW1 tanks sucked, etc.
In the end every gets trenchfoot and dies.

I volunteer my services to the good of our nation, and maybe the bad depending on where I end up. If you need a bad voice actor, technical director (as in how the hell would we do this in the Halo 2 engine), if my shooting skills are required I'll slap myself back into shape and shoot cans from 1.5 million kilometers out with a pistol if needed, or just someone to brainstorm with just let me know. Oh yeah don't forget it takes my 360 2.5 years to load maps though.

New Ideas being discussed include a LOST parody, and a YTMND-themed parody.
Musical suggestions and sketches are also being discussed for some pop songs (Specifics are not entirly hammered out yet)

Bang and a snap-shibang, We are well underway with "Sketch Comedy Video 2" Which so far features parodies of LOST, 24 and American Idol.
Filming via Xbox Live and taking vocal audio via skype, anyone wanting to do any audio dubbing, even if only for use as background chatter, your welcome to provide it by contacting (Incitatus4) via skype.
Ideas for sketches or parodies are more than welcomed here on live or over whatever median you feel most comfortable with.
Voice talents are welcomed, even if lacking in the talent part :p.

Maybe a Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail Parody? Everyone could have energy swords, and the bomb does kind of look like a coconut....
You could do the Black Knight skit, though it would be hard to show the Spartan with arms and legs detached.

I like it, setup can be similar to "Dissapointing" from Sketch Comedy 1, and we can use elongation's computer terminals for the AOL rep. We'll just lace in the audio from that YTMND, and pop it in after some clipping.
I LOVE the idea of a Monty Python tribute in any way shape or form. We must make it happen.
Skype is a voIP service, but it acts similar to an Instant messanger service, that allows voice chats almost exclusivly.
a quick google and you can find the site to download it. It requires a reasonable connection speed (not nessisarily High-high speed... as far as we can tell) and a microphone/speakers or headset.
The quality of Skype conversations/calls is MUCh better than even that of a phone, and best yet, skype (For the next 6 months) is free to use for calling real phone numbers, no credit card or anything needed.
Overall a great tool, and we are exploiting it's quality for our audio dubbing this time around.

The Elites could be the Knights who say.... NEE.
Too bad there isn't more shrubbery on Ivory Tower cause we could have really used it "slightly higher so you get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle."

Wow, I'm really out of the loop. I need to get back on and play some more. I had no idea that this project was being worked on. I'm very interested in it, and let me know if I can help out in anyway. I have skype and capturing equipment as well.
So if you need an extra cameraman or anything just let me know ahead of time so I can plan to make it.
I might be on later tonight, but im not sure. If I am not on, I'm sure EvilAntiLois will be. So let one of us know when/if we are needed.

ps, Are we ever going to adapt the ILB story to machinima? Maybe a quick scene for the sketch video? Just a thought.

Dang, i wish i had an Xbox, if nothing else, then just for this. In any case, i have seen one or two Halo-tized versions of Monty Python Sketches. The best one is "How Not to be Seen"
EDIT: Dang, i don't think that's the correct Halo version of How Not to be Seen. I'll try to findthe right one....
