[UPDATE] New Persephone Numbers (May 7th)

New Numbers!

http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org/index.html

72 65 83 32 87 73 78 32 72 79 83 84 32 80 67 32 73 78 32 78 73 76 32 85 82 71 69 46 32 56 44 32 110 111 116 32 49 32 97 110 100 32 54 46

ASCII: HAS WIN HOST PC IN NIL URGE. 8, not 1 and 6.

So the website will update on the 8th, not the 1st or 6th.

If the website doesnt update on the 8th (Monday), then maybe we'll get some more clues during the ad breaks in the UK (Tuesday)

That's a really odd message. It strikes me as an anagram...

It does indeed. But there are sooooo many possibilities.

Edit: The word CIPHERING is in there, though.

Quickly glancing through the list of anagrams, the word "CIPHER" and "GLITCH" stood out to me as being contained in the word.

Best I can come up with is:
CIPHER HAS LOST U WINNING

Don't think that's the intended one though. Very Happy

I noticed the word URGENT first, so I'm intrigued enough to keep playing around with it. (And, yes, HANSO also popped out, as did HELP, LISTEN, WRONG, CAN'T HELP and WATCH)

Edit: And, in further unintended anagrammination: WISHING PORN SITE LAUNCH Wink

i see: "WRONG CLUE"

other promising words: Print, warning, hansorg

There's three N's, which is a lot to try to use up, so i think one of the words will probably have an ..ing.

There's only one E in the whole anagram...

Excuse me if I'm asking a really stupid question, but I'm as you put it a newbie - where did you get those numbers from?

Closest I've come to anything that makes sense:

LOGIN WHITEN PASS URCHIN

maybe it's a login/password, is there a name we can pull out of WHITEN+URCHIN?

Did you click on the link in the first post? That's where the numbers are. If you're asking how people get letters out of numbers, they are the decimal equivalent to ASCII computer representation of text. A really handy converstion tool is at http://www.vortex.prodigynet.co.uk/misc/ascii_conv.html

Somehow, I don't think it's an anagram. It could be just about anything, as proven by the last few posts.

I think the way to get the message could well be the last part: "8, not 1 and 6."

Maybe I'll throw together a shift-cipher program and see what happens...
