sorry if this has already been posted, but it looks like www.weightofwords.com is still up, but access is forbidden. I'm not a techie so don't understand about the source code thing - but it looks like the notepad might be telling us how to access the real page
sorry if this isn't the case (as I said, Im not a techie & only even heard about viewing source codes today!)
and if I am talking rubbish i shall crawl back under my stone

I checked the source code, and didn't find anything. But you're not talking rubbish. You're looking for answers, and that's good.

There's a new thing in Charlotte's general interests on Myspace:
Text: xafix to 30303
I don't have a cell so I can't see what it is. Can anyone else try it?

It has to be a Cingular phone. The other companies don't support it yet. I hope it's a free ringtone or something.

Neato!
I tried all the song titles as URLS in a whois thing and most of them are registered...but the sites themselves have nothing on them.

You get the song if you download the link. I think it's free tho. I'm not sure

clicking the link from a work computer gives the following:
Quote:
This product is not compatible with your phone and your bill will not be charged. Please choose another product, thanks for shopping!
(EC:4060)
So it may have a charge associated with it.

The link is invalid on a computer. It's meant for cell phones.
I used my Cingular phone and got 12 seconds of what I assume to be a piece of Prelude 12/21.
I have it proudly set as my ringtone.
A little while later I got a text message from 30303 which informed me that I was "billed $0 for Prelude 12/21 ringtone."
Also, AFI has blogged about a NYC thing where the band will be premiering the video for Miss Murder and it gives info on how to get tix. Check it outhttp://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=24138033&blogID=115163679&Mytoken=9ED0BE1D-EB2A-630F-705457F12ACBF6E813187371
They also put out the song list in the blog before.

A guy from MTV called me yesterday to confirm my tix for the NYC event (woo!). He was a bit sketchy with the details, for instance I had to ask him several times for the location (he eventually said "the 44th St. location" which I am taking to be the same place they film TRL , in Times Square), the call itself felt rather ARG-like By all indications there will be some sort of clue(s) at the event, plus "lots of AFI swag" (his words). It's next Monday at 12 noon so now I have to figure out a way to sneak out of work for a couple of hours
From what I gather, AFI is some sort of emo grunge band? I hope it's not me and a bunch of emo kids
I jumped into this "ARG" kind of late so now I have to do a bit of research. I'll report back with any findings after the event.

This seems interesting. I think I'm going to hop on board
EDIT - Yeah. I was looking around a bit after I read the "Terminus I, she who binds words" on Craigs myspace.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminus
Basically Terminus is a Roman God and the god Jupiter is also known by this name. Terminus is the god of boundaries. Atlanta, Georgia was orginally called Terminus I think because it had a terminal? Uh... it's a computer game, a fictional comic book character, it's the home planet of the Foundation in Isaac Asimov's Foundation series (no idea what that is ), and Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a poem called Terminus but I cant seem to find it anywhere online. Terminus also means "end of the line" in Latin.
Dont know if any of that will help but I needed something to do.
EDIT - (again) I'm trying to catch up so I've been reading the thread and all of the myspaces that are involved and in Georgia's profile she has an interest in the movie "13 Most Beautiful Women" and Hector has a movie on there called "My Beautiful Laundrette" There's not much information available on 13 Most Beautiful Women
"13 Most Beautiful Women"
Director - Andy Warhol
Actors/Actresses - Sally Kirkland & Olga Adorno
Made in 1964
It's in black and white
Silent Film
There's alot more info on the other movie so I'll just post a link to IMDB
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091578/
