saw this earlier today as i was reading. go to the ape's page, and keep pressing tab. the yellow box appears and cycles through the option. after one of the links on the left, it dissapears and u cant see it. press enter, and the backround light suddenly moves. im sorry if this has been found, just found this site today. i doubt it's that important, but my screen resolution is to small to check out others. if you can't find it ill register and say something about it tommorow

Maybe the red marks that can be seen ocasionally on Joop (bottom right) when logged in could be words? I thought I saw the word "password", but its probably just wishful thinking

Found using what some consider 'brute-force'...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Someone's making changes to thehansofoundation.org...

Old file:
520554 2006-05-03 11:02 Joop_2.swf
New file:
520557 2006-05-08 11:13 Joop_2.swf

Unfortunately I didn't keep hold of a copy of the old Joop_2.swf so I can't compare the two.. Only 3 bytes bigger so probably not much of a change...

edit: btw, this is the file you get to by trying to send a message to Joop.

The text box next to Joop hand is now missing. Maybe that's the change that was made

So far Id say the puppetmasters at work here have succeeded admirably in providing that Lost "experience".

We've all been sat around somewhat bemused and confused trying to make some semblence of sense out of everything we know so far.

We sometimes bicker among ourselves over what we should do next.

Occasionally someone stumbles upon something that may (or may not) be useful.

Hell! If I was sat on a beach somewhere the illusion would be complete Laughing

Saw the potential answer to this while browsing http://thelostexperienceclues.blogspot.com/... check the update on the post called " Clue #23 - Appropriately, A Fantastic Clue". Apparently the update was just to remove the name "Rachel" from the source code.

Aha! Good spot... I found the old SWF file in my Temp internet files, and that is indeed the change! I guess the name Rachel is rather important! They should have left it there, then we'd forget about it/think it was insignificant.

I don't think "Missing Organs" is the clue, but rather a clue to the clue. I have been trying to find a "Sans Serif" (without feet missing organs ) font that contains all of the characters from the clue.

I agree with you: I think there might be more to "Missing Organs" as well. I tried the anagram route here but nothing seemed entirely relevant (although, going with the font idea, the word "sans" can be found, but the remaining letters don't spell a font name that I can see).

I keep thinking that maybe it's a less "coded" and more "hidden message" clue - like a cryptic crossword puzzle clue? Like "disappeared pianos" (which means nothing but won't get out of my head every time I see the phrase!) or something that actually, you know, relate to the plot...

Letters on Joop page

I think everybody has assumed that both sets of letters are from the same company.....the first letter is from Global Welfare Consortium.....the second letter is from Global Health Consortium... I dont know if this makes a difference, but it seems pretty suspect to me...

I agree with both of you, but have been wondering if the 'missing organs' part is a bit of a red herring to disguise the real message, which is somehow encoded in the surrounding gibberish. I am not an expert on this, but it looks to me that enough of these symbols should be translatable using extended ASCII (here's a table.) I've tried to work though some of these, but got partially stumped. Maybe somebody else will have better luck.

Missing Organs from the Bermuda Triangle?

And I thought only planes and boats went missing there.

Perhaps we're looking for the name of a boat or plane that happens to contain 'organs', one that went missing over/in the Bermuda Triangle?

So, I was thinking, when watching the advertisement again, that what does all of the stuff they show mean? I've read most of the posts here, and hope that this hasn't been discussed already. But anywas:

Leonardo Da Vinci: born April 15, 1452
died May 2, 1519 67 years old
(just huge spec on anything in common-4+8+15+16=66)

Next image is the Vitruvian Man, which Da Vinci made around 1492

1492 was when Christopher Columbus sailed to the Americas

Next is the space shuttle, and I don't know which one. My best guess is that it would be either the Columbia or the Discovery. The Columbia, because of the tie-ins above. The Discovery because all of the images have to do with discovering something-and the advertisement does state to "discover the experience for yourself"

DNA structure was discovered in the 1950s, one group in London and the famous Watson and Crick at Cambridge.

I don't know how else these images tie in except for what the advertisement is advertising. Maybe this is not relevent in the least bit, but it couldn't hurt.
