Right, I have made a patch for my app as I found a tiny bug in the processing code that screwed up the allowed drug field parsed from the html pages. Its fixed and I have attached a patch which should correct this.

All you need to do now is to download the zip archive, unzip it and place the PolygonDataMiner.jar over the old ones. This new file will only process the downloaded html pages so make sure that the prevous version has downloaded all of them. So only use this patch if you have downloaded all of the pages. You can use this patch on any of the years.

Ok, here's some interesting information that needs to be checked.
As a request from irc I ran a query to return all participants who were younger than 30, ran under 4 minutes for the Plant Preservation Project in the year 268, which returned 41 people. So here's a list of their user ids.

Looks like we have parameters now!

-entered in 268
-entered in 266 or 267
-completed inunder 4 hours
-1:40 for half; approx. 3:20?

This should prove more than do-able now.

268 4HR mark: midway, page 132
267 4HR mark: bottom, page 101
266 4HR mark: top, page 103
132 + 101 + 103 = 336 pages to monitor

Presume the name we are looking is unknown, i.e. not Miranda, just a name that appears twice in the relevant parameters in the relevant years?

Special Dispensation...

Is oxxypro the only medication given as special dispensation?

Do we know anything about it? (Checked the wiki and Cognivia site, nothing there)

From the name I'd guess it allows for quicker oxygen transference into the bloodstream. Though I'm not sure the reason for an extra dispensation, maybe some sort of disability?

The fifth one down on this list is Elizabeth Call - 3.37 in 268. Looking for her in 267 and 266.

So far, Tyler Warren (bit of a man's name?) ran 3.24 in 268 and 3.49 in 267 and 266, all for the Plant charity. Bizarrely, the ageless swine was aged 27 in all 3 years (same problem as seen before so this person is probably not right)?

Other names from Sasuntsi list (i.e Plant charity in 268, under 30, < 4hrs) and who are probably female (some of the names can be misleading):

Elizabeth Call
Kellen Nicholson
Talia Sprague
Cale Barnett
Allie Tomlinson
Baby Gibson
Lily Riley
Yessenia Morrow
Tanya Norman
Lorena Newton
Amara Costello
Darlene Wright
Jean Morgan
Chelsea Mathis

I posted something on the drugs in one of the many current marathon threads... basically came to the same conclusion as you. Aids O2 uptake. Not exactly sure why they'd use it though.

Does Tyler Warren have the same uid for those three years?

Assuming it promotes O2 uptake, there would be many reasons to take it, though not for legal reasons. Everyone is capable of reaching a certain genetically determined maximum in their ability to run and perform long edurance activities. Most people never train hard enough to ever find out what their limit is, but it's a big deal for Olympic atheletes. All of those guys have really high natural O2 uptake. What they do (even here on earth) to try to push themselves beyond that limit is take O2 uptake enhancers (more oxygen = slower heart rate = longer edurance).

But these people were apparently granted permission to use it. Maybe heart problems? infection? lung damage? blood disease? Maybe they faked having a condition to get an edge.

Lot's of possiblities...

But then again "Why run a marathon if you can't run it in under four hours?"

Here's the final app for the main runners. This one needs no patch as I have corrected the error, and subsequent version for the puzzle runners will not need one either (unless I screw up again Embarassed ).

As per the original files, all you need to do unzip the file and then run the PolygonDataMiner.jar from the command line (don't double click it as you wont see the command line gui, which will prompt you for input if you resume it after having cancelled it at some point).
Once it has finished, zip up the userinfo.dat file from the data directory of the unzip folder and send it over to me at pxcsas(SPLAT)hotmail.com
