Oh wow, this is getting exciting now! I wonder what Gary Troup has to do with Hanso (other than the book thing).
Bah, all I could get out of graphic converter was Gary Troop knows, still couldn't see the rest. Why do I think this is simply a ploy to get us to shell out money for the book?
By the way, any other Mac users out there? In Safari, the Cal Tech doc errors when loading and it doesn't completely load the the flash, so you can't click on red underline.

How long do you have to wait until the clock changes to OB:EY? And what page do you have to be on for it to show up?

Actually, I'm wondering if this is to get us all to drink Sprite. Apparently 'sublymonal' is a for-real marketing campaign...

I use Safari and it works fine for me. Sorry, can't tell you why, though.

I just left the site up and after a while (maybe 10 minutes?) I heard a noise - I went over to the page and the clock changed to OB:EY

Yeah, but you have to appreciate the subliminal aspect of sublymonal.

Talking about marketing is probably competely off-topic here (sorry!), but I don't think it is coincidental at all. According to Brandweek.com , Sprite is launching this new "sublymonal" campaign after a partially failed "Show & prove" campaign, a "guerrilla effort ... originally touted as an underground buzz-building ploy, a la Halo 2's ilikebees.com, complete with a countdown to the launch event." (quote from article, note ILB butchery)
Shaking head sadly.

Oh man, ABC is a money grubbing advertising whore. They inserted an ad in their ARG, man that's bad taste. As if all the promotion for LOST isn't enough.
I feel so dirty!

Totally unconfirmed info here, but someone is reporting the following:
Quote:
<Puddy1> lol
<Puddy1> www.sublymonal.com
<Puddy1> is advertised in the commercial during the bird flu movie
As a UK Lostie up past his bedtime, I don't know what movie he's talking about.
EDIT - posted moved from original topic to more topical one - SG

I doubt this is the end of adverts in ARGs - so far ABC has thrown in the book (the bad twin), sprite and monster.com...I am sure the big ARG after this one will follow suit...

There's a bird flu miniseries being shown in the US, because we like to watch TV about things we also like to panic about. Like giant hurricanes, asteroids crashing into the earth, tsunamis and pandemics.
