[summary] May 9th walkthrough (OB:EY and sublymonal)

This is a recap of today's events. I found the threads discussing this rather confusing, nobody had a clear explaination of what was going on. So here is my attempt to summarise what happened. I've spoilered out the critical clue for today, but have talked about the results of it, and linked to the results of it, If you would like to work out today's events for yourself, please don't read below as it is one giant spoiler. If i have missed anything, please let me know by replying to this thread.

On TheHansoFoundation.org Thomas mittilework's Bio page has a login box floating over the text, link to bios, What should be put in the box?

It was also noticed that on the 15 th and 42 nd minute of every hour, the clock on the website changed to "OB:EY" this linked to sublymonal.com. On this site you do the obvious thing, click the TVs (Count the number of clicks needed for each one and you'll see some familiar numbers from lost). This reveals some key information:(not lost related, just game related)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
code: Heir Apparent
This code can be entered into the Bios page to reveal the next part of the story(link removed, because the PMs broke it)

That pretty much sums up the days events, the content it reveals are yours to explore Smile further discussion of that can be carried out here

The sublymonal site
Obviously the sublymonal site has played a part in todays proceedings. But is it in game? At the moment it's hard to say how in-game it is. It is reasonable to say that it is intended as advertisement. Decompiling the flash shows:
T3h flash file wrote:

function gotoAdvert () {
getURL("http://www.sublymonal.com/","_blank")
}
(emphasis mine) Which indicates the makers even view it as an advert. "Sublymonal" is part of a Sprite marketing campaign[1] a reverse IP of the site also supports this, and of course there is lymon.com, not to mention "OBEY" is the revamped "obey your thrist" slogan. Even though there is a commercial tie-in, it is possible that more game content will appear on the site. so for now, in my opinion (this is not my opinion as a moderator, just my personal opinion) the site is in-game.

[1] read more about it here, including a reference to "ilikebees"

Sprite is also mentioned in one of the "hold music" songs on the phone line ("greener than a Sprite can") and while we're talking about looking at code,

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the html at www.sublymonal.com includes a script named SpriteTeaser.js

(spoilered in case this is considered forcing info... although I think looking at source code is ok? *newbie* Smile

Looking at source code for web pages is fine, I've often found hidden clues in the source for other ARG's.

The direct link to the swf doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe it has to be called from the main flash file?

You set the time on the clock....

For those of you who are waiting for :15 and :42 after the hour to see the clock turn to obey you don't have to do that. The clock is a mirror of your local system time so you can simply change the time on your computer to 12:14:40 and wait 20 seconds.

To set your system time, simply double click on the time in the lower right of your screen.

The PMs have changed the file, now you can't do that Sad
