Back again.
I guess I have some readers now. Some of the agents of the Cyphers have contacted me, offering to help. Here's what I know so far.
Charles is definitely gone. I went to his house last night and his lights were still on. No one had touched anything. I told the police he was missing but I don't think they've even come by. Those jerks! They think Charles is senile and insane, I know it.
The first thing did was talk to Charles's neighbors. His next door neighbor, a sweet old lady, told me that she saw Charles leave with a young man. I described the boy, I mean John, to her and she said it might have been him. She thinks she saw him shove Charles from behind as they were going too! If he hurt Charles... I'm going to hurt worse, I swear it.
Then I took a look around Charles's house. Looked like some kids had drawn on the sidewalk around some stones. Weird. So then I went inside and poked around on what Charles was working on. It was broken piece of clay, which is strange. Charles is interested in "fantastic" animals, not what he calls "artifacts." I only took two quick pictures because I heard some people outside. I don't want anyone to think I had anything to do with what's happened to chuck!
That's not the strangest thing though. On my way out I looked at the sidewalk again and realized that
another one of those broken things was there! I took more pictures.
There are larger versions of these images on my Flickr Account
Does this mean anything to any of you Cyphers?
I'm working on getting the pictures over here...
Ok...I'm having some problems getting these pictures on here. If anybody else can do it...it's all yours.

The clay pieces on the sidewalk look like they might have something like the Eye of Horus etched on them. Charles did mention something about Egypt, didn't he?

perhaps someone with rad Photoshop skills can try to piece the artifacts together and see if it gives us anything?
also the chalk on the sidewalk reminds me of some native american art, but that is just spec.

It should be noted that it might also be Cypher code. Perhaps we should tag Kevin for a decoder ring?

Here is my 2 cents. The geocities html with the lat/long points says, "Find the Key. Unlock the door." The pictures that Sue took have a list of 6 e-mail accounts with passwords. We need to figure out the password for cryptochuck7SPLAT g-mail.com. The password will end with the number 7.

Well, the password ISN'T 'moreau7'. BTW, there seems to be a dark symbol at the right of the wide-angle outdoor shot. It looks a bit like the symbol on the indoor piece of clay.
I asked Kevin if either the chalk symbol or the dark symbol has special Cypher meanings.

going by the notes the emails are linked to the cases, if we can find out what the first 6 cases were we can maybe deduce the password

Not sure how helpful this is but I pieced together the artifact that was outside.
The one from the table does not go together as nicely (I don't think it goes together at all) so I gave up.
I'm not sure of the appropriate orientation, so I show it in 4 different rotations.

looking at the one from the table I think some of the pieces are upside down, there is only the 1 which has anything on it.

Per Kevin, the symbol is for the word "Danger".
However, after some janky .jpg-fu, I came up with what follows. I'll link and see what comes up.

And with a little Paint-Kwan-Do, here's my rendition (black background by moi!).
As for the one inside, well . . . I think there are pieces mising from it.
