Lyca - not an ARG While looking for eggs in the new Halo 3 trailer we found some clues referring to the cortana letters way back in halo 1. Upon further review of the cortana letters we found some interesting keywords. When we googled the words we found an interesting site that seems to be set up like a code of some sort. when we explored the sight more we found some links with the halo 3 trailer. you can read all about it here.

lyca.com - created in 1998. Whether that means anything or not is up to you.

I believe the cortana letters were sent out in 1998. also some of this stuff described on the website resembles scenes in the halo 3 trailer just released. This could have been long planned out by Bungie.

Dude #1: DUUUUUDE! I've got this brilliant idea! We're gonna write these letters and make this Lyca.com website. Then THEN! Because we know Halo is going to be such a resounding success, we're going to plan making something called I Love Bees 2 in 2006 because we're going to be releasing Halo 3. This ILB2 thing is going to be a new kind of game called "Alternate reality gaming" that's going to totally take off in 2001.
Dude #2: What are you? Some kind of prophet?!
Dude #1: Naw man! I just got some smokin' weed! Corporate is gonna *love* this!
Dude #2: Wait wait wait. Doesn't "I love bees 2" mean that there was an "I love bees 1"?
Dude #1: Daaaaaamn. We're going to have to make a Halo 2. Maybe in 2004. So it sets up nicely.
Dude #2: Rockin'.
Dude #1: Totally. *snort* This rules!
But yeah, you're right. This totally could have happened. Let us know what you find out

Umm. The xbox console wasn't even released untill 2001. And it's probably not the best thing to keep sending the sight owner emails unless your 100% sure it's a game.

[Alternate Theory] Or it could be an easter egg for the first game that they kept the hosting and Domain all this time for new players of the original game.[/alternate Theory]

The game was originally planned to be released on the pc. The cortana letters were made back in 1998 when the game was codenamed blam. halo was originally planned to be an RTS but they decided to make it an FPS a few months before they decided to put it on xbox as one of the launch titles. also what caused us to revert back to the cortana letters for info was the clues found in this thread. http://ducain.org/hihforum/showthread.php?t=5859

Ok I'll take your word for it. I assume you know more about the halo history than I do coming from a halo forum. But I still don't think this is the trailhead for ILB2. Trust me if bungie was launching it they would make it more obvious. My advice is to sit back, watch and see what happens. But don't harass anybody about it looking for clues.

anyways the author of the site contacted us and said that it isnt anything related to halo so the lyca site is not an ARG. anyways we have ound alot of interesting things hidden in the halo 3 trailer that still point to the cortana letters so we can start looking there.

And with that, we'll let Lyca rest once again.
