[SPEC] Thomas Vernon Mittlewerk already seen on LOST

MetaUrchin from the Metacortechs days chiming in for a moment. Been trying to keep up with the LOST Arg as best as possible, and I think I've noticed something of little consequence but kinda' interesting.

On the hanso foundation website, the biography picture of Thomas Mittelwerk looked suspisciously familiar to me. I thought it might be stock photography and mentioned as much to a friend online, and he pointed me to thelostexperience.blogspot.com that said that Mittelwerk's photo most likely wasn't stock photography. So the thought of him being familiar rattled around in my head a bit more, then I went back to watch some of Season 1 LOST this week, and BAM.

The photographs below (enhanced for brightness in photoshop) come from the Season 1 Finale of Lost and resemble the man in the Mittlewerk pictures considerably:

I can't find a good screencap of Mittlewerk to compare to, but I'm sure one of you guys can, you industrious little beavers. But that actor surely looks the same. If I can grab a couple better caps of the guy I will, until next time, Namaste.

It would seem that almost every photo on the website is a stock photo from Getty Images. A thread (linked) at the Tailsection has the info.

but I would have to register for that forum to read the post he links to.

However, now that i know where to look...

I seem to remember that all of the images except Mittlewerk and the Alver Hanso were from Getty Imagesm, can't find where I found this out though. Makes me think we will see more from Mittlewerk.

Hrm...

(Spoiler from the most recent U.S. Episode below)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Spoilering this just so people don't hurt me. There is a lot of talk about cloning (Or Twins, but it could simply be a cover up. The theme is there, Bad Twin and all), what if that isn't Mittlewerk, but a clone of his? What if every one of the Others on the island is simply a clone of a high-ranking Hanso figure for some reason? This would explain why "Magnus Hanso" is buried on the island, rather than Alvar Hanso. They're trying to cover up what could be a very large cloning project with everybody simply being somebody elses twin?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, Mittlewerk is obviously Hanso's favorite, due to the heir apparent code. What if Mittlewerk somehow is on the island and THATS why he will not be available for a while. Mittlewek and Hanso could have been on the island before Oceanic Flight 815 boarded.

Just a thought.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Cloning is usually a means to extend ones life so it would make sense characters like joops are clones and not actually 105 years old. Maybe all the top people are clones and that could be the true life extension project. I find cloning much more possible than making someone live twice as long.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Thats very possible, but I wonder if the Valenzetti Equation had anything to do with this? It's pretty obvious that Hanso covered up the Valenzetti equation, and removed the book talk interview. Who does Book Talk? We could interview him, he may have some IG information.

Imagine if an OOG show could connect IG. The clip is out there. Our job is to find it...

huh

Not sure if this video is old or proven fake but here:

It appears as though Hanso is the overseer of the island. Which would explain his lack of appearances recently.[/code]

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why are people putting speculation inside of spoiler tags? Especially when the speculation doesn't actually spoil anything? Is there a secret club I'm not a part of that does this sort of thing? Or are we simply not clear on why these spoiler tags are here in the first place? See, I thought we were only using these to be respectful towards people who were not completely caught up with the TV show episodes. But maybe I was wrong, and someone can let me know.

Here's a spoiler for season 2, and why the video is fake:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Where is the Pearl, or the Staff? Where is the "Flame" that the map suggests exists? This is faked, but the content looks nice.

What the hell is up with the video's music, though?

I spoiler tagged my post because it refered to the recent Season 2 episode of Lost (episode 21)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
with the revelation that the guy from the training video has a "twin"
