Why are people putting speculation inside of spoiler tags? Especially when the speculation doesn't actually spoil anything? Is there a secret club I'm not a part of that does this sort of thing? Or are we simply not clear on why these spoiler tags are here in the first place? See, I thought we were only using these to be respectful towards people who were not completely caught up with the TV show episodes. But maybe I was wrong, and someone can let me know.

I spoiler tagged my post because it refered to the recent Season 2 episode of Lost (episode 21)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
with the revelation that the guy from the training video has a "twin"

That I can understand.

See? I can be considerate when I try!

So everybody! How about that most recent episode huh? Wow, wasn't tha-

I seem to remember that all of the images except Mittlewerk and the Alver Hanso were from Getty Imagesm, can't find where I found this out though. Makes me think we will see more from Mittlewerk.

Correct. It was on the tailsection board that someone first posted this. The other exception might be Libby. Nobody was able to establish that for certain. But the rest are there...even Joop, I am afraid!

The middle name is Werner, not Vernon. Laughing
And Mittelwerk, but let's not get picky.

The pictures are interesting...I have seen my share of outlandish photo comparisons, but this one is very close, indeed.

Ok, this is a genuine spoiler (season 1 finale + season 2 general), so don't beat me, Jamesi:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

There was photographic "evidence" that the DeGroots (science couple shown in the orientation video) were among the people in season one's finale. But later on in season 2 we learn that Mr DeGroot in question was just wearing a fake beard and looks nothing like the original.
Mrs DeGroot is still up for discussion and although I first thought it was just a male with a mane, it could be her...

But still, I don't think that any of those people are from the actual show. At this moment I believe that the show and the ARG are not closely connected. One reason for this would be that people would easily get spoiled (or spoilered? it sounds like something else if I say it that way, heh) and taken out of the game experience if they are not up-to-date on the show.
It might lessen the fun for people who know the latest stuff and expect the ARG to run along with it, but I guess the makers won't take this into consideration, because there are lots of people who would be out-of-the-loop if it was run like this.

So, in a few words: this spec is interesting, but I think it's just that
On second thought, Mittelwerk looks older than the guy in the show, but eyes can deceive me, especially because those pictures are not exactly high quality. Smile

But a spoiler of WHAT??? (Season 1 finale? Season 2x04? Season 2x21? Previews? Podcast? TV Guide? Season 3 script that was leaked? ... )

I don't want to have to READ the spoiler to find out if it is something i don't want to read! Get it? Got it? good.

(Only picking on you because you're handy. Nothing personal. People do this all the time, but your post was convenient, and you will know i still like you.)

Oops. Shocked
I thought you can read minds (just the non-spoiler thoughts, of course).
Alright, I fixed it.

Getting back on track

Mittlewerk does not seem to be on the Getty photo site as a stock image. I didn't check every photo but no one else from the Tail Section was able to find him either. Besides Hanso he seems to be the only person not found as a stock photo. You may be on to something.

Another slightly interesting thing is that the chest x-ray on the Hanso IGA page is stock but does not have the red colored area in the original image.

original xray here

Well the caption does say "(Digital Enhancement)", so at least THF doesn't misrepresent *everything* it does...

What about the "mutant" and "normal" cells above on the same page? It seems pretty clear that one is a digitally altered version of the other..

EDIT: I also noticed that the IGA page is the only one that doesn't have a quote from Hanso in the upper-left Philosophy section. For some reason, it has a quote from our new pal Mittelwerk instead...
