I'd love to get the book, however, I don't have a credit card.....If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be willing to entertain them.
(In addition to what Chris has already said)
PayPal accepts other cards as well as Credit Cards, including Switch, Maestro, and other debit cards.
You can also ignore cards and just use a bank account now.
So assuming you have an account (which you must have to send cheques)
and you're not too young (I don't know your age).
Then you should be able to open a PayPal account and buy the book.
If there is something I haven't thought of please correct me.

Well, that's something new. I didn't know that. I have used PayPal once. I knew they used credit cards and when I had to use it I used my parent's card. As for age, I'm old enough to buy alcohol in the US legally, if that says anything.
I'll definitely consider doing that. That certainly is an option I've never considered. Thank you for the information.
(If you want proof of my age, I can scan in my driver's license if you really want)

I guess a simple puzzle for finding my age couldn't hurt. Heck, this is Perplex City
A fifth of a decade from now finding my age shouldn't be a problem
Multiply the value by the following:
The tenth of a century place in the numerator and the denominator of the irrational simplified fraction of weeks by months.
Leap years in four years over months starting with "M".
Pull in my age to the value
A deuce thrice is folded in.
Half a century should result.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm 22. I'm totally middle aged.
I have to say that the alcohol policy of the US is retarded. At 18, you can vote, smoke, get tried as an adult, drive (well, you get that at 16), go to war, but not drink. But that's off topic.
I do have to thank you, I have to check out the PayPal thing but that should work. Thanks for the advice.

Mine finally arrived about 10 minutes ago... it also appeared to be strangely thick...
On examination, this turned out to be because I seem to have two copies of the text bound inside the same cover! Haven't looked to see if they're different or not yet.

A mistake, or a rare (and possibly valuable) collectors edition?!?

Mine arrived as well, equally double printed... Ah well...
Still... It looks bloody good!!
[EDIT] just checked and the two halves are different as the Josh Black story is missing from the first half but is included in the second. I'm guessing they got confussed when we sent them the second version and just added it to the first?[/edit]

I thought the new cover specs were odd...the spine width they gave for the revision of the cover was about two times the width of the previous edition! I even mentioned that the book had gotten a lot thicker all of a sudden. Ah well. Certainly y'all will let me know if I need to do it again, right?

I've dropped an e-mail to Ellen at Seaside. I doubt they'll re-issue the book but they can at least correct the error for people who are buying the books via Lulu from now on in...

Got mine, too! I had already ordered it a while back and received the thinner copy. When I opened this one, I said, "Wow! It's bigger!" Then I realized what had happened.
Well, if we're ever going to write a Part II, we'll have to see if we can trick them into making copies so large they won't fit in our bookshelves.
