I submitted mine about 12:05 CST, which would have been about 5 or 6 minutes after it went live. After I solved it, I got the page to enter my Google ID, followed by a page to enter my mailing address and info, followed by a page that said the DaVinci Code contest has ended.

I got my cryptex today also. Can't read the postmark, just has a $4.05 stamp and a label with my name and address on it in a white box. The code to open my cryptex is "grail"
No email here yet either.
edit: Oh, I probably submitted my entry at about 3 minutes after the final puzzle went live.
You can take these things apart and change the code too, nice.
That Auction that is at $61.00 already doesn't end for another 22 hours. Can't wait to see how much it ends up going for. There were some "buy it nows" for 35-56 dollars already.

I thought for sure that I was in the top 10,000 ... if I remember correctly, I was timestamped at 1:04 EST. But the cryptex wasn't in my mailbox today when I got the mail. I hope it will come tomorrow. I'll be really disappointed if I'm not a finalist.

I got the cryptex. The code is grail. When I opened the cryptex the note said to go to www.google.com/davincicode. But when I tyoed in the address the webpage just didnt load. Guess I am too early huh!
I submitted my puzzle by 1:02 EST. I was done with the registration by 1:04 EST.
Do u think that seeing the movie before we solve the puzzles will really help! I am inclined to think so.
Anyways we will wait and see what happens and who gets the "untold riches"
Ciao

ok so I finally registered.. I'm totally amazed that 'Joe' was still available as a username...
anyways.. I don't know when I entered.. was all a blur.. but all of us in #dvc entered within seconds of each other...
the cryptexes can be purchased at http://www.noblecollection.com for $59.00 don't pay more than that for one on ebay.. only difference is the little piece of paper (and they come with instructions on how to change the code.. mine didn't..)
and my code is the same as the other two that have mentioned it.. I assume they're all set the same..
and here's some (horrible) pics for those interested.. it came in a window box with the mona lisa on the front (and copyright info/opening code on the bottom) but I couldn't get a clear pic.. (glare is horrible..)

nope.. put it that way in the picture to see if anyone would notice..
I think I wiped the perplex code in time.. it was already entered anyways..
and sorry for the tagline on the images.. nothing against you guys, but I've had instances of people stealing my pics and bandwith for their ebay auctions..
still no email..

Anybody's Google homepage now state they only completed 23 of the 24 puzzles?

So I assume the note inside the grail, in addition to telling you the website, provided a unique entry code that you enter to start your clock running on Friday? Please don't post that info!
jzero - not today, but on Wednesday when I solved it and then triggered the spammy defense tool, I reverted to only 23 solved and had to do it again.

Whacky. It used to say that I completed all puzzles and even did earlier today. Wonder wha' happen'?
Fortunately I took screenshots of both my successful registration and my homepage displaying my ID and saying the puzzles were completed, although I'd have no idea who to send them to.
Or if I even would be a finalist either way
