I'm with you.

I was on a flight from Los Angeles to Washington DC when the final puzzle came out. I solved every other one as soon as they went live except for the last one, which I solved that night.

Grrrr!

DiG...

I'm actually quite upset, I logged into my google page, and the screen says "You have successfully completed 23 out of the 24 puzzles." However, I even got an email from them last week saying I completed all 24 puzzles and was successfully registered. Since I haven't been able to get the mail yet, my complaints might be in vein.

Same thing has happened today to my husband and myself. We are not happy in the least. We both received 2 emails saying "This email is to confirm that you have completed all 24 puzzles bah blah blah.."

grrrrr

Mine went back to normal this evening. A glitch in the matrix?

No Cryptex in my mail, but as has been said...there's still time. The timestamp on my screenshot of submitting the form is about 1:08PM. Hopefully submissions were coming in at less than 1250/minute.

E-Mail

Just got this e-mail (at 10:10 PM EDT):

Quote:
Your journey does not end here. You have also qualified to compete for the grand prize which includes trips for four to New York, Paris, Rome and London, a colossal SonyŽ Electronics package and more valued at over $100,000! See official rules.

Beginning on or around 1pm EDT May 19th at www.google.com/davincicode, the final challenge, which is a time trial, will be made available to you for 48 hours. You can begin whenever you like, but prepare well, for once you begin there is no turning back. The player who completes all five tasks in the shortest amount of time will be declared the winner.

As for your previous accomplishments, your skill and perseverance will be rewarded with a limited edition replica cryptex arriving in your mailbox in the coming days.

I got the email too! my sister, however, (on dialup) didn't.. (the not a finalist email was just sent, contains a different message from McKellan and the same preview) she entered at around 1:15 (EST) so I think the person with the 1:28 time needs to fix their clock Wink

anyways, did anyone else notice the hilighted letters in the video? wonder what they spell..

Sorry can't edit as I'm a guest. But I'm thinking it's some sort of anagram. I've looked at it for awhile and don't see anything, so I did an atbash conversion on them and still nothing. I even went and tried to use only the fibinocci numbered ones and nothing there either that I can see.

Bwahahahahaha!! that's fFunny Smile

Ok, so the paper in the cryptex says to go here:
http://www.google.com/davincicode

The congratulatory email has this link:
http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/davincicode/dvcqog/teabingmessage/finalist.html

That saved you $5.

A little value added, the non-finalist message is here:
http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/davincicode/dvcqog/teabingmessage/endofquest.html

Also, the video clip was previously shown on some show or another, like entertainment tonight or somewhere. I've seen it before. I would guess the highlighted numbers are nothing. I could be wrong, but i wouldnt look too hard.

I can't believe it. I just checked my email and got the "Not a Finalist" email. Evil or Very Mad My screenshot timestamp was 1:04 EST. I can't imagine how I can not be one of the 10,000 finalists. It doesn't make any sense to me. For those of you who are finalists, what time did you submit your answer to the final puzzle???

I saw those letters as well. They actually do anagram into something. I did this by hand.

HITRMEANAUNIVNFDTIV = FIND THE VITRUVIAN MAN

I doubt there's anyone reading this who doesn't know, but the Vitruvian Man is DaVinci's famous naked man in the circle.
