Yeah, but reverse DNS is a bit of a cheat to finding the sites in an "in game" way. You don't go reverse DNS on every site you browse do you? If you do I'd have to say you got some personal problems and can I recommend a good Doctor for you?
I may need a good Doc (since I actually do use reverse DNS a fair bit in the course of my work) , but I'm still gonna disagree.
As far as Unleash itself is concerned, I've learned enough to know its probably not for me, and I agree that we should leave them be to grow for a bit.
But if you put up websites as part of your game mechanics, then you should learn or employ the staff required to deal with the typical issues that arise with that medium. As Ian says in one of his (pretty interesting) reflections on The Creative Process

Does that work as Flogging the Dead Horse?
Perhaps it'd be easier to lock this thread until such a time as someone is awakened?

Everyone is allowed to play in their own manner. I don't see how locking a thread will help the PM's if anything keeping this thread up for reference will help in making the PM statements easier to locate and educate new people comeing in the door.
Locking is for spammers and flamers, of which this is neither.
Hmmmm... maybe requesting an "ignore this thread" option for those who need the willpower assist?

Magesteff missed the fun yesterday. Obes was foolishly posting a reply to a flood of multiple spams which HAS SINCE BEEN DELETED. The Admins have requested that people DO NOT REPLY to obvious spambot posts, because:
[list=]
[*] it further bumps the post to the top of a list, especially bad for "old" threads which would normally FALL BACK DOWN to the bottom after the spam is deleted -- but your last post will not be deleted, leaving the old thread as currently active.
[*] and you realize that the spambots are NOT going to be reading your demands that they quit, and thus your outrage only helps draw attention to their activity.
[*] and locking one thread only means they'll go 'bot all over another thread.
[/list]
And now look what happens. Here I am, bumping the thread again. I hope we've all learned a valuable lesson.
(i can never seem to understand how to get the LIST tag to work on the first try -- is it me or the instructions?)

Since it was
an unordered list
you didn't need the = after "list"
Or, in code:
Code:
[list][*]Since it was
[*]an unordered list
[*]you didn't need the = after "list"
[*] :wink:[/list]
If you wanted an ordered list, on the other hand, it does indeed seem to be the instructions, because after the = you need to specify what sort of numbering/lettering you want.
Since it was
an unordered list
you didn't need the = after "list"
is obtained by the following:
Code:
[list=1][*]Since it was
[*]an unordered list
[*]you didn't need the = after "list"
[*] :wink:[/list]
whereas
Since it was
an unordered list
you didn't need the = after "list"
is produced by:
Code:
[list=A][*]Since it was
[*]an unordered list
[*]you didn't need the = after "list"
[*] :wink:[/list]
Hope that helps.
