O cruel fate! My first letter in the Sentinel gets pipped by something obviously much better. Those five points were so nearly mine! Must try harder.

Great poem badbarry! I am honoured to feature within it and lucky that it was during my 15 minutes of fame.

WOWWW!! Just logged in and found that my humble little poem has made it into the Sentinel. This is the proudest day of my life! Very Happy Thanks for your kind comments, and know that this thing would never have been done without your inspiration! I love you all! Getting a bit emotional and luvvy now, all this fame has gone to my head Embarassed , so I'll stop effusing and go somewhere quiet to let in all sink in.

Right, done that, let's go get Miranda!

I concur. Lovely Ode there badbarry.

May I recommend Silburn-Griggs to sit and ponder - it may be just the muse you need for your next opus??

Great poem badbarry, or should we call you BARDbarry! Laughing (My bad pun detector just exploded)
And thanks for including me in your masterpiece, alongside some of the unfiction greats, probably because im the only player from Ireland who seems to post on unFiction (besides my team-mate s00bf0f8 the odd time, but hes not quite as obsessed dedicated as me Smile).
I must hop on the VFE and letters bandwagon, see if i cant get me some bonus points!

Hi GasparLewis, thanks for your comments on my VFE article - I wrote it in a bit of a "ranting" moment but I think I made the arguments clear! I'm glad to hear that some of the future generation don't fall into my sweeping generalisations, too Smile

...listen to me with my "future generation" old fart talk... I'm only 25...

And in related news ... Almost on cue, yesterday, a man base jumped fFrom the eiffel tower. Reuters has a nice video clip.

Sounds to me like he got to Caesura Park, which makes sense since he'd be aiming for a nearby open, flat area to land. The only other park on Schloss Street is Key Square, and that's probably too far away.

ahh, you know, you may be right. Actually I had thought he wouldnt have fFlown towards the taller buildings to the east of the point, fFor fFear of slamming into the side of one. A powerful cross wind could prove devastating. But now I am re-examining the situation, you may be right. He might have been able to glide right past the MDC building and land right in Caesura.

Frankly, I'm not convinced that Perplexians are smarter than us. We've outwitted them on a number of occasions. And, while the cards report some instances of Perplexians quickly solving puzzles that we find very difficult, they also report instances of Perplexians being stumped by very easy puzzles.

Beglee, I simply included my favourite moments from the unfiction boards since I started, and your posts with Gaspar on the inkblot stuff really made me laugh! Nothing to do with you being from Ireland (much as I've been there quite a few times and it is a really beautiful place).
