Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dunno if this helps, but the notes spell out C-A-G-E.

Oh, and if you think of it as Morse rather than a rhythm it sounds like it spells out "BIRD."

So BIRDCAGE?

Unless there's a D I'm not hearing at the end (it's got some sort of weird background noise) and it's CAGED BIRD.

I can hear 8 notes though so how come you only have 4 letters? I have no music expertise so aways bow out on these ones..

Each letter has a different note, if we used all 8 tones it'd be CCCAAGGE for example.

R&D Access

At work so not IRC for me but, I just noticed that there is now a login option for the R&D page in the Global Employee Net, it asks for a Access Area and Password.

EDIT: There also seems to be somemore ascii art in the source then again it might just be java stuff

MORE: Seems there is a new member in database that is in game, his file is interesting

I think that's it... there's a link to the credits.

ETA: Boo to poor coding that doesn't let me see the movie. If someone's watching, I think you should change FlashVars="vidpathWebmovie.flv=" to FlashVars="vidpath=Webmovie.flv".

ETA4: How.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I went to the R&D form and viewed the source. There was a long piece of Javascript there. There was a tiny bit of code which was a function to decrypt something, and then the rest was what it was decrypting. And whatever it was was encrypted repeatedly [though, with the same process, so... not really difficult once it was done once]. It was after three iterations, I think, that I found the actual form data, which essentially said, "if access area isn't DEFAU ACCESS 1044 and password isn't format, you fail". For the activation key page, I tried birdcage without the space first, but that failed. I viewed the source on that page, found I needed the space. The end.

Nice work all! (players & PMs)

its funny how its an arg where people are being encouraged to break away from media saturation....funny in the fact that I played it from my cozy deskchair ^_^

There are only four different pitches. The pitches provide one word (CAGE) and the rhythm translates to Morse code, which provides the other (BIRD). The change in pitch also tells you where the string of dots and dashes begins and ends for each letter.

Nice ending to a pre-game with that short film. If the ARG is as good and high quality as that pre-game was then we will really be in for a big treat with this grassroots project.

Darn it! I go away for one day, and look what I miss! Right on, guys! Great Work! To the PM's (assuming that you are reading this) nice job.

Also, note to PM's: I saw in the chat (which I unfortunately missed) that you are looking for feedback. I would be happy to provice some if there is a good way to do it. (PM me or email me at ustice+syst3mSPLATgmailDOTcom)

Once again, GREAT job, everyone!

I know how you feel! I wanted to get active in this, but I may just have to wait a bit longer Smile
This has been very interesting so far, good job to the PMs!

Impact quotes

This is the first ARG I've been really interested in since ILB (with all respect to those who have worked hard on games since then).

For whatever it might be worth, the text on the Impact page is made up of two quotes, the first half by someone named Michael Korda, and the second by someone named Havelock Ellis.
