I've about run out of options on this one....lol
The numbers certainly could be lats/longs couldn't they? Esp. with the "One for Down", "One for Cross" statement.
What about Selenographic lats/longs (on the moon itself?) I don't really think that's where our answer lies, but as I stated, I'm befuddled.
This is interesting, given the "left on the right" and "right on the left" poser:
"Because people used to use telescopes to look at the moon that turned the image upside down and backwards, and no one really knew which way they were looking at the moon, there's a confusion as to which was is east and which is west on the moon. Most people agree now though, that longitude 90 east is on the edge by Mare Crisium (which would seem to be toward the Earth's western horizon), and 90 west is by Grimaldi. Northern latitudes are nearer Plato, southern ones near Tycho. "
Not that it helps any...lol.

I couldn't get anywhere with the numbers, but numbers are not my thing!

Here's my thinking now:
the #'s are coordinates to letters in the 11/12 journal
the first # in each group of 3 is the line number (One for down) the second the letter in that line (One for Cross) I'm thinking the 3'rd may be position in the answere or something.(One to switch towards the moon)
My problem is how to format the journal entry. If i put it in notepad and turn off word wrap, there isn't enough lines. But the way it's laid out in the journal changes depending on the width of your window. so I need to know how many columns across this thing should be.

Moon Puzzle I've been wondering about the picture of a star/...doent it sort of look like a 'cross'? maybe we are to use #s in a cross pattern...one line down, one line to cross to the middle, one of the lines on the right backwords to the star/moon....then correspond them to a journal entry. oh well...im just rambling.....

Along those lines...
What if each group of 3 #'s are:---- win------ lose------ tie
as in sports stat's ?
"count the win, forget the loss"
so that the first # is the line number ("one for down")
don't use the second #
and the third # is the word or letter? ("one for cross")
"And one to switch towards the moon"
may be those #'s listed under RIGHT , count the word/ letter from left to right (moving right towards the moon), and those listed under LEFT, count word or letter from right to left (moving left on the line of text, towards the moon.
but do we count the spaces and puncuations?
I'm still working on it.

I am beginning to think that the moon clue is not going to operate on the actual text of the nov.12 journal entry, but is somehow related to "the virgin lady" and potential email from her.
Chronologically, we got the nov.12 journal entry first. In it was the email address for thevirginladySPLAT yahoo.com (and kudos to cemgate for revealing this to us here!) -- this in itself makes me feel that there would not be a 2nd use for the rest of the text.
After the email clue, then we get the moon numbers, but as a special update available for only one hour. The email clue goes unsolved thru nov.13
On nov.14 we get both an Abednego update and a Noahboddy journal update. Here we get the famous poem about "switch back to the moon" and a reiteration of the link to the nov.12th entry -- and the email clue is still hiding from the majority of players.
On nov.15th there is word of a solution to the email clue, and now we have a set of moon numbers available to the rest of the players who missed the "appointment" clue. Abednego's journal tells us to contact the librarian and to work together.
Has anyone received a reply from the librarian, if indeed she is thevirginlady? I grow more and more hopeful that the moon numbers will make sense only after we see some new text.

There is a series of back and forth e-mails between her and someone on the Yahoo board. It seems to be on the up and up. They seem at that point to not be auto-responds.
I'm still waiting for my response. I'm wondering if at this point, as multiple people contact "her" if responses will become more form-letter-ish.
