I agree with Jere7my

I actually think "survivor guilt" is pretty clearly an ironic comment on Peter Thompson, who was cured of cancer by Hanso (per his bio). He survived when others (who were more deserving) didn't: hence, "survivor guilt".

I agree.

I would also like to point out that Peter Thompson was born in Terre Haute. As was DjDan. Maybe he is our insider.

In the tobacco one, I can only see "Don't" and "his", but this document does appear in between the large words.. My PS image difference abilities are very novice, but maybe someone can extrapolate a better image. The heading seems to say "Town Inquisitor"?

All of these clock times are very suspicious. There are two different times that you get the "OBEY" message, and the clock turns to 21:12 when you enter "heir apparent" in Mitelwerk's bio, plus now what you're describing. Are there any other clock changes?

As for the time 10:39, that may be a clue with respect to the LYCBYG site. The earliest "last modified" date listed is 10:24, but then it skips to 10:55 and beyone. Maybe there's a timeline to consider, and 10:39 is the time that Persephone broke into Thompson's office to uncover those lawsuit papers and pictures. Just a thought.

Look again. The date also changes to 17th May. So, there's no connection between that and the folders on lycgy.
By the way, who says that Persephone broke into the folders. What if she is their secretary or a maid? Laughing

Is that a book perhaps? Does that image look familiar to anyone? It looks like an animal of some sort sitting on its hind legs looking at pile of brish or branches or roots or something.

Damn, Lostsoul, good job.

So it's a direct screencap, eh?

I think we've seen our first direct connection to DHARMA (with the exception of the shark on DJDan).

Yea. The image from the website had to be scaled down just slightly.

Here's the same ghosted image as above from the tobacco flash movie but it is animated to show with and without. While the type at the top is still difficult to make out, maybe someone will recognize the image itself.

Going off of amer's interpretation that the text says "Town Inquisitor", I did a book search for inquisior in the title. Interestingly, Dostoyevsky has a book titled Grand Inquisitor (actually it may be a chapter in the book The Brothers Karamazov, I'm not familiar at all with Dostoyevsky) However, I do know that Locke mentions this author (spoiler for the UK from late Season 2)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
to Fake Henry in the hatch.
Also the art style seems to be consistent with artwork from other Dostoyevsky works that I could dig up on the web. Any Dostoyevsky experts around?

(added teensy spoiler tag -- catherwood)

Also, here's another reference to Dharma. This is from the nuclear flash movie. See the Dharma Swan logo center left.

re: the header of the document that flashes during the tobacco sequence
I agree that the latter word is 'inquisitor', but it looks to me as though the first word is long and ends in '...ton'. This makes me think it might be a clipping of a photo from a newspaper, the Carrington Inquisitor for example, but that is a pretty poor example seeing as google shows precisely zero results for it. Anyone else got any notion to further this, or an idea that might negate my suppositions?

Oh, and I forgot to add; Nice image work Lostsoul!

I agree.. My hunch was that it's pointing to a newspaper too, but it looks like "???ETOWN INQUISITOR"

Anyway, the image itself looks like it's from a scanning electron microscope... Attached is the overlayed pic, and here's a link to some pics taken with an electron microscope: http://www.highmars.org/niac/niac06b.html
