oceanicairlines.com I hesitate to post this as I've been unable to verify the whois information for this website, and I haven't seen any mention of it on this forum or any of the others I've scanned. Maybe it's a fan site? At any rate, I've been watching
http://www.oceanicairlines.com
since yesterday. It was just a t-shaped series of tiny red squares that flashed, and what appeared to be a loading bar underneath. In the source code, it said "I am ready. Are you?" (I think).
I just checked it again and now it's different. The squares are still there but so are a bunch of other things, and 8:15 flashes at the end of the animation. The source code now says "when it's time".
Sorry if this is nothing but the difference since yesterday is striking and perhaps it's something.
Adding that now I have the whois info and I'm not sure what to make of it:

Re: oceanicairlines.com
This is a fan-made website. It cropped up during the days of the so-called Lost Webmaze which was revealed to be a hoax back in December.
I will add it to the top post of this thread now. Thank you. (I had it in my notes from back then, but forgot to add it to this list.)

bigspaceship.com I have a feeling that the company, Big Spaceship, is behind the creation of the Hanso Foundation Website...and that they use the bigspaceship1.org, etc. sites to host things/testing...
They created the Da Vinci Code Quest that is currently going on...along with a lot of other cool web marketing campaigns...

insidetheexperience.com/ sister sites (Moved it myself when I accidentally made a separate post of it. sorry, mods!)
http://www.insidetheexperience.com/ and http://hansofoundation.livejournal.com/ are sort of meta-in-game, from all appearances; insidetheexperience is an ABC-owned site containing game clues from a fellow going by "Speaker," and hansofoundation was his original site before it moved to the official site.
That being said, it's pretty obviously not a site aimed at the hardcore ARG players. Speaker misses some puzzles, and his postings are hint-heavy (especially on the LJ). http://au.blogs.yahoo.com/lost-ninja and Channel4 Lost Blog appear to be sister sites for the Australian and UK players.

i say if we can, consider this OOG and work on things ourselves. The whole site seems like an annoyance.

It might be a tad early, but given the mention of Gary Troup in the Philadelphia Inquirer regarding Hanso Foundation (http://www.thelostexperience.com/hanso_ad.jpg) we might consider moving garytroup.net to the "in-game" section.
potential reasons against this move:
1) someone could have faked the inquirer ad, after all, someone did already have the hanso phone system to play a little game.
2) even if the ad is real, gary troup has been linked to but the publishers website hasn't yet, so it might be a little premature.

Re: New Site
Interesting, I followed it through and clicked through the bios when I got back and now there's a box you can type in in the bio of Mittelwerk. Doesn't seem to do anything though.

yep, I've moved the Gary Troup site into the in-game section, and added subLYMONal too.

www.kraftkost.com is a fansite, and http://www.kraftkost.se/ was part of that infamous Lost Webmaze game last fall. These have been added to the Out Of Game list. Thank you.

Here is how another forum describes their logic in declaring sites out-of-game
http://www.4815162342.com/forum/viewtopic2.php?p=212761#212761
Then there is The Fuselage where they have insiders with the show who answer these kinds of questions.

Other sites and forums have not been as rigorous in weeding out the wannabes from their lists.

Can I assume we'll be adding http://www.djdan.am to the in-game list?

savejoop.com Considering it was mensioned in the Jimmy Kimble interview last night, should we consider savejoop.com an official site, even if we consider it the source of souvenirs?
