hi it's dr w mackenzie here. after a short commune with nature my brain cleared (damn mothertongue induced lack of sleep). My nickname pelops stands for president of european l operations. No one can remember what the l stands for, I've been pelops for longer than I can remember. It may be linkage, levarage, light or language. Some unfounded rumours have suggested it's love or lobotomy. Having such a vague title enables you/I to say he does something/handles things/usually screws things up from the european angle. And the real reason. I read about pelops for the first time yesterday. Fits with project zeus and he sounds a survivor. Just don't get me in a stew

We'll need to make a list of who are players and who are characters so we don't get them all mixed up on the group.

So far we know Jables Johnson, Zandra Stallone and Ed Gaston are characters.

Oh dear god.

Code:
When do you think you will have finished all of your components? Have you finished them already? How much more time do you need? Time is becoming limited, and The Grand Master is getting impatient.
Jables Johnson

What do I tell him?

Also, this is kind of bad timing, since I'll be away for the weekend at a convention starting tomorrow. So I'll be kind of unavailable until Monday.

Looks like he need to be searching:

Quote:
I have to be honest Jables, I have no idea what these members of the
other team are on about. These techie folk are very strange.
I have been keeping an eye out for anything on the internet regarding
Professor Cain or his inventions, I havent found anything yet, but I
wouldnt be suprised if this is going to leak.
Ed Gaston.
Engineer.

Let's see what we can find.

EDIT:

Could they be referring to this?

Professor Cain invents a telescope that lets you look into the past.

This looks interesting.

Joined the Google group. I signed up as Exrester, but you can give my name as Jonathan Becker if you like (it's not real) (I mean, wait, it is real) (not really).

If you haven't already filled the spot, I'd like to be considered as a serious candidate for Minister of Propaganda.

Anyone have any real idea what we're supposed to be doing?

It sounds like we're the other team, like it's us versus them. Maybe we should ask if it's about Cain's telescope?

Mr Gaston,

I have found some information regarding a Professor Cain and an
invention of a telescope which uses light refracted from distant stars
to look into Earth's past.

Could this be the leak you are looking for?

And he replied almost instantly:

Quote:
Alright, I have compiled a list of what we have completed over here:
Satellite Frame
Solar Cell Panels
Sensor Support Structure
Momentum Wheel
22N Thruster
Mirrored Radiator Panel

I trust that you have/are making the software, electrical components,
and the other tecnological innards including the Ku-Band Transponders,
Ka-Band Beacon Horn, Inertial Reference Unit..etc

Followed by...

Quote:
I saw that, no I believe that to be coincidence. I think it is fiction.

I'm off to search Ku-Band and Ka-Band.

You could put one of us in charge of answering his requests while you are away.

I think a good response would be:

"Could you give me a listing of the components you know we have completed, and the components we haven't completed, so I can have a better understanding of what information you require from me."

Ok I think Max has a good point about putting someone else in charge.

I think if we imply to much that we really don't know what we are doing, it may look bad. Maybe ask something like. "What has to be finished first so we can concintrate on that."

You're joking. Right, "Black Ops Spook"?
How about "Handyman"?
