I don't know about everyone else, but I decided to go with the "laid back and comfy" feel.
On the other hand I'll probably heat some popcorn to enjoy during the online film festival during the weekend (once everyone has had a chance to upload).

I've got mine shot, saved and... well the editting is what isn't done yet. I was going to do it over this past week but with my mom in the hospital all last week up until yesterday, I wasn't home to finish it.
And a rolled up paper would have been wonderful for the night I went to find my cast to finish filming and found that they'd all gone to the bar and were tanked.
So of course I joined them in doing shots...

Now 1014 - I wonder if Juxta can manage to press the refresh button every 89 seconds for the two full weeks.

Tbh I'm disapointed of the time they picked, just coming up to exams for people in either school, college or uni makes it difficult to find the time to make a short film. I would have loved to have had a go at something but due to exams and coursework, didn't have the time.
I agree with you on the timing - i myself act and direct but as it's amateur drama festival season (well in my area at least) i spent the past month working on my play - and couldn't make a film - which is a shame as i would loved to have a go (have never edited before...) (also as you mentioned poozle it's exam time so most people I would con/bribe into helping were too busy furthering their educations!). To sum up: why couldn't MC have waited another month until 'the summer' !

Wow. Bitter much? Would you like some more lemons with that?
Ollie is actually not around this evening at all, to my knowledge...and it's getting a wee bit tiresome actually, hearing all of the constant "Keers-baiting". On times, yes, he can be an annoying pain in the arse. He is however *our* annoying pain in the arse. Get off his back.
Lets just stop the bitching right here and now eh? The team who put together that video made a conscious decision that we would not employ any "shady" tactics. We enjoyed planning the scripts, costumes and props prior to the filming. We enjoyed making the film, despite the cold and driving rain. Now we're going to enjoy the competition, marketing it and spreading the good word of PerplexCity to the unwashed masses. Feel free to do likewise.
If you have any opinions on any "dubious tactics" being used to boost the views of films, then I'm more than happy to hear them - please feel free to press that little button next to this post labelled "PM".
Now, back to the competition eh? Play nicely.
J

I kinda like ollie tho I preferred his old haircut (or lack thereof) to his new coiffure. I was saddened to notice he has sunk as low as thirty-sixth on the leaderboard. Thirty Sixth!!

Yarrrr. I'm agreeing with Juxta here (as I obviously would, as we're part of the same team), but I wanted to put my point across too.
I think pretty much all of Team PvN have got a LOT better things to do than watch our video on constant repeat for hours at a time. I admit that I've watched it a few times - just showing it to friends who have come over, the family, etc, but it's been far from the F5 fest that some people think. As I said, I have other things to do - there's a house to tidy and a pile of new games to play!
Anyhoo, what I'm trying to say is Play Nice. If we win, great. If we don't, meh. We had a silly day of messing around in fine costumes, and that's it. Anything else is a bonus.
Oh yes - and Ollie's a good lad. Lay off him! Or I'll gut ye with my katana!
