 		Could this be why Philip is so angry?

Most people seem to think it was referring to Wongmo/Leo Kane, but with the replies given it might have been directed at her personally.

If this has already been mentioned a few dozen times, feel free to whack me with a trout or something.

(edit: whacking myself with a trout. misread, apparently he mistakenly sent it to beth. BUT WHY USE THAT PHRASING? can't he just say "I meant to sent it to someone else"? *whacks herself with a trout*)

 		With the mail from Katherine to Beth about possibly bringing Laika over, wouldn't "getting rid of the dog" simply mean that she sees it as a possible reason Beth wouldn't take her sabbatical period because laika would be an obstacle for that, and now that she has offered that Laika can stay with her, she "got rid of" that obstacle?

I'm with this theory. Consider also that Laika suddenly got better, and a sick dog might also have made Beth more reluctant to leave.

Add to these:
1. Kat didn't completely blow the whistle on Beth's snooping through MLO's files -- she seems to have told MLO just enough to make him suggest that Beth take a short break to get her priorities in order.
2. Beth's files have changed, suggesting to her some prediction that would take her out of town. Could Kat be trying to get Beth out of town so she (Beth) doesn't see what is about to happen?
2. Kat has suddenly become Beth's new best friend, and notes in her MetaDex that Beth is overly trusting (a +). Now she tells Beth, "just go" on this vacation.

From http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2912 (see xnbomb's post on page 2), it appears that Beth may be headed somewhere along the line roughly formed by events from the little-boxes archive 92 to 101. The current frontrunning contender appears to be somewhere in Alabama. However, Redland WA may also be on the line...

It seems to me that Kat is here to keep an eye on Beth, and that she has either tricked her into leaving Redland (where something may be about to happen), or manipulated her into "predicting" the true site of the next paranormal event. The "where is the next event?" argument is presently being discussed at:

 		i was thinking killing Laika would be a bit harsh, not to mention hard to explain.
