Any chance of the movies being put on the Wiki for those with a great big stinking firewall at work? Also for posterity. Or you could PM me any private links to another online copy, if your feeling very good.
I promise I'll go and view the one a like most at home using my slooooow dial up.

I'd just like to say my comment about the number was in shock not acusation, its my favourite by far and I must have watched it 5 times to try finding the secret URL, thats probably one of the reasons its got such high views. I'm very impressed guys, off to watch the next set of films now though

To be honest, I think that we're also in a little bit of shock too about the views. We *know* that none of us are doing anything "shady" with the views - for starters we went from 1,200 to 2,200 between 11pm last night and 9am...and we're all UK based, so gawd knows what the reason is for it. (Hence also the fact that we're a little peeved at the personal attacks - we were all asleep!)
We have, admittedly, got a bunch of people involved rather than just one or two, and we have been "marketing" it out on "teh interweb"...but I don't think we've been Slashdotted just yet...although...Lads...I've got a great idea...

I've decided not to watch any films until mine is complete... and it's killing me. Okay, I snuck a peek at a couple whilst at work (the marble one and the PI one), but until I get my final 100 frames done (hopefully tonight) I'm gonna have to wait for this masterful Pirates/Ninjas movie. I love that so many people have been putting puzzles into their films. Sadly it doesn't quite fit in to the complete and total crapery theme (content as well as style) I'm going for. Also, I'm very impressed by the number of films up. I was getting worried (due to complete lack of discussion here) that people weren't doing this competition. I think I might have started cooking up something sooner had people been more vocal about their projects, but I suppose that was to make sure nothing was given away. Looking forward to watching them all - don't forget to mark some of these as favorites/suggest for feature/rate them. It'd be nice to see some of these featured.

Gah! Look at all this competition! I never thought of using puzzles to get people to re-watch my film lots and lots of times - next time
As for this whole debate over whether people are artificially inflating their own figures, I'd just like to say that all my loser friends are supposed to be bumping mine and utterly failing. Not even broken 100 yet! How's a guy supposed to cheat if the people he's relying on claim to have "Better things to do than sitting in a darkened room endlessly reloading the same page."
Seriously though, this competition was an awesome idea. I had so much fun doing it and it looks like you lot have too. The 34 puzzles is a favourite of mine, and the following line made me laugh out loud:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We're in France?

Yes! Hot cape draping action!
P.S. Mmmmm, what is that perfume you're wearing? It's delightful. And did you do something with your hair? You know, I'm not sure I've ever met anyone as beautiful as you.

Erm, yes. Yes, it is. Although having now looked at the other efforts (or at least those that were up yesterday evening), I may sulk and remove mine for sullying the contest with it's lameness.
However, if you feel you must watch it, you can find it here

That was brilliant, one of the best, tbh I think that the best ones I've seen have come from people on the forums (and Myf, yours is great as well).
I think the reason the pirates and ninjas is doing so well is that it has so many links from other websites (and slash dotting it would be quite ammusing).

Ah, bless you for saying that!
I've embedded my film on my website, but that won't help cos no-one visits it! Anyone got suggestions of where a person might encourage viewers for a film starring a badly-drawn stickman?

If I didn't have Uni exams and stuff getting in the way, I really would have liked to make a video, although it would be done totally in vector/3d animation, (which would take ages to render).
I had a realy kewl idea for promoting the video, (but I will reveal it once the competition has ended just in case I manage to scrape something together in the next couple of days).
Some of the videos look pretty good and have got more than quite a few views, (about 5000+ for someone).
Hopefully they will run another one sometime soon...

Well, I've emailed the link to all my friends (beats the hell out of the chain mail junk they send me) and posted a bulletin to all 26 of my Myspace friends, on top of linking via my blog. Course, that still only gets me exposure to about 35 people, but it's a start.
P.S. DANGER! The world will end if you don't click here RIGHT NOW! No, honestly....

Kinda wish I'd had the time to do one now but ah well, just as good to watch the results!
