The text seems to definitely be "??? Town Inquisitor". Googling that doesn't reveal anything remotely useful.

Ixalon, assuming you were able to extract that overlay by subtracting the the main image, could you try to work similar magic on the Joop webcam screen caps? I'm not so interested in the face there, more in the red blurry horizontal bars that look like they may be text. I've always thought there was something more there to be extracted.

Nope, it's not Smile.

Ahaha, its a limb XD

Man, I go away for three days and look what you guys get up to! Very Happy

but skin is an organ.

...since everyone on here is grasping at straws. I don't think it's all as complicated as everyone is trying to imagine. They are spoon feeding us...we should just go along for the ride and not try to decode the human genome ourselves.

I actually think "survivor guilt" is pretty clearly an ironic comment on Peter Thompson, who was cured of cancer by Hanso (per his bio). He survived when others (who were more deserving) didn't: hence, "survivor guilt".

I agree.

I would also like to point out that Peter Thompson was born in Terre Haute. As was DjDan. Maybe he is our insider.

Leads in to both my theories on Peter.

The first: "survivor guilt" isn't ironic at all. The cancer and the cure was a wake-up call for Peter and he opts to start using his talents for good guys, this wonderful philanthropic organization that cured him. He goes to work for Hanso - and soon discovers they're as dirty as those he was defending before. "I work for criminals. Always have, always will."

In which case, he could be our insider, but I doubt it. There's resignation in that "I work for criminals..." epithet. I'd say if the above is Peter's story, the disillusion ate him whole.

And theory two: maybe Peter is DJ Dan's bad twin.

Yea that's sorta been my theory all along.

This makes me think it might be a clipping of a photo from a newspaper

I agree.. My hunch was that it's pointing to a newspaper too, but it looks like "???ETOWN INQUISITOR"

Anyway, the image itself looks like it's from a scanning electron microscope... Attached is the overlayed pic, and here's a link to some pics taken with an electron microscope: http://www.highmars.org/niac/niac06b.html

CAPE TOWN INQUISITOR

There is a clearer version of this image now in the WWPDP hack.

Thompson bio (June 6)

Does Anyone else see the flashing letters on Peter Thompson's bio?
I can make out: I, O, G, and R-V, but nothing else.

I just converted to a new computer and am not completely caught up yet. Embarassed

(moderator merged this wayward post into the thread where it belongs, which makes the replies look a bit odd, but just deal with it, thanks -- catherwood)
