Mr Johnson,

Our team will have the remainder of our tasks completed by Tuesday, May
30th.

I hope this timeframe meets with the Grand Master's approval.

- Max Steele

The time has been set. Relay that info to the professor when you're in contact with him again.

[16:18] *** Auto-response sent to profcain: I am currently idle.
[16:18] profcain: a car was pulling into the drive, and we slipped out the garage at the back just in time
[16:19] profcain: my brother and I are currently in a small hotel in Maidstone, we are going to catch the Eurostar to France in the morning and try to make ourselves scarce
[16:20] profcain: night

Wait wait wait. When the 30th rolls around what are we going to do? Say we had set backs? Whats the plan here. In the hopes of being helpful, as safety inspector I can "shut us down" for "health reasons" for a while.

I'm waiting for your imput before doing anything rash. I just want to do something helpful.

I think we'll have to figure that out closer to the date, depending on what they respond with, what we have to do in the meantime, etc. Unless if there is going to be a puzzle to solve before phase one starts, this may just be time they're giving us to get our "team" together for the better part of the game. But if we do have to stall again, that is a possibility. Smile

I sent the following email to Prof Cain to let him know about the date we picked:
Quote:

Prof. Cain,

I am so relieved to hear that you are safe. I'm very worried about all of us now, but you especially. Be careful, even if you are online. They are at least monitoring where you are posting - they've found out on a science forum, among other places. I'm hoping they aren't hacking into your account. If so, I'm toast.

We took your advice and have told them to expect our end to be completed on Tuesday, May 30th. We expect phase one will begin at that time, but we're still waiting to get their approval on the time. Do you know anything about "the grand master"? They seem to be running the show.

Stay safe and best of luck.

-Karija Gaines

That still was pretty much in the vein of Jiroe's original email suggestion, so didn't think it would be a problem.

It's good to know he's safe, although I'm a little curious as to how Jables and Ed will respond to their failed attempt to "erase" him. They'll know he was warned by someone, and Ed seems curious of us already.

We are going to say what the Professor wants us to say.

We've chosen sides. It's the Professor's side. He told us to say we'll be done by Tuesday in order to throw off the company. That's what will happen.

The Professor will inform us how to proceed.

Satellite Frame
Solar Cell Panels
Sensor Support Structure
Momentum Wheel
22N Thruster
Mirrored Radiator Panel

I trust that you have/are making the software, electrical components,
and the other tecnological innards including the Ku-Band Transponders,
Ka-Band Beacon Horn, Inertial Reference Unit..etc
also in one reply from jables he wrote that we were doing communinication devices for satellites and relay equipment so we have some big words to work on and maybe some where we can find a bluff and stall for more time Foily! think i will google some of this stuff maybe get some more info for us

From the prof's brother on his account - all times are US central, btw.:

Quote:
[07:24] profcainSPLATgooglemail.com: hello?
[07:24] akhirnya: Hello!
[07:25] profcain: i am the professors brother
[07:25] profcain: they got him
[07:25] akhirnya: Oh my, is.. is he alive?
[07:25] profcain: i dont know
[07:25] akhirnya: What happened?
[07:26] profcain: he went down to breakfast this morning, and all i saw from the window was them putting him in a car
[07:26] profcain: two big men
[07:27] akhirnya: Did you notice anything about them or the car? Have they contacted you?
[07:27] profcain: it was a red ford mondeo
[07:28] profcain: no, i have heard nothing since
[07:28] profcain: i am worried for his life
[07:28] akhirnya: I am, too. Did the professor tell you anything about why you two had to flee your house?
[07:28] profcain: he told me everything
[07:28] profcain: although, i am no use to you
[07:29] akhirnya: Did he say anything about a grand master?
[07:29] profcain: no
[07:29] akhirnya: You have to be careful. If they find out you know, you could be in danger.
[07:30] profcain: i know
[07:30] profcain: i am in an internet cafe right now
[07:31] akhirnya: You should probably stay on the move. Is there any way we can contact you if we find anything out about your brother?
[07:31] profcain: he seemed to realise that they would get him
[07:31] profcain: he left an envelope with instructions
[07:31] akhirnya: What does it say?
[07:32] profcain: it says you should contact botzero1SPLAThotmail.com
[07:33] akhirnya: We will. Was there anything else? No odd markings or anything on the envelope or page?
[07:33] profcain: no
[07:33] profcain: it says that should see you through
[07:34] profcain: sorry, my mistake it is botzero11SPLAThotmail.com
[07:34] profcain: not botzero1
[07:35] akhirnya: Okay, got it.
[07:35] profcain: ok good
[07:36] profcain: i must go
[07:36] akhirnya: Stay safe. Thank you so much. We'll do what we can for your brother.
[07:36] profcain: thank you

So someone needs to contact botzero11SPLAThotmail.com... No idea who it is or with what. I'm on a plane or in an airport most of today, so it should probably be someone else. Wink Keepin' an eye out on Project Zeus's page, maybe they'll update soon.

just did a little research on our tasks in above post ku-band transponders are used for sending signals from a satellite ka-band beacon horns are a terminal for recieving ka-band signals and sending x-band signals at the same time inertial refference units are used forr moving signals through space time 490n liquid apogee motors are a 10n thruster that is used for altitude control of satelittes nickel hydrogen battery cells listed as energy storage system as used on space stations this is just a short and concise use of the above things but it does give us an insight into the jobs we are required to complete

Sent an email to Botzero11.

Quote:
Hello,
I was told to contact you regarding Professor Cain. Do you know who he is? He may be in danger and he believes that you can help him/us. Professor Cain was kidnapped this morning and he left an envelope with your email address on it, and he said you would be able to assist us. Please contact me.

K.

EDIT: And just as I posted this, I got a delivery failure notice. It says the mailbox is unavailable. Now what?

EDIT 2: I guess it did go through. He sent a reply saying to talk to him over IM. I'm waiting for him to come online.

Okay, I just spoke with Botzero11. We've got 3 riddles to solve in order to find out what he/it was designed for.

Quote:
klindasSPLATgmail.com: Hello.
Botzero11: Greetings
klindas: I was told to contact you by Professor Cain. Do you know him?
Botzero11: I recieved your email
Botzero11: Yes. He made me
Botzero11: I was made for such a situation
klindas: Made? Do you mean you are a machine of some sort?
Botzero11: I am a bot.
Botzero11: A.I.
Botzero11: I am an intelligent program
klindas: I see. Did he leave you instructions on what to do if he was kidnapped?
Botzero11: Yes. I am to ask you three riddles.
Botzero11: This will tell me if you are the intended party to access the information.
klindas: Okay. Ask away.
Botzero11: Riddle 1:
Botzero11: TmV3dG9ucyBtdXNlIGZvcmJpZGRlbiwNCmxvb2sgdXAgYW5kIHNlZSBtZSBib3VnaCwNCmxvb2sgZG93biB0byB3aGVyZSBJIGZlbGwsDQpnaXZlIG1lIG15IG5hbWUsDQpvbmx5IHlvdSBjYW4gdGVsbC4=
Botzero11: Riddle 2:
Botzero11: ouYay alkway noay e, yetmay tiay siay ymay ob, Ijay omecay niay anymay uises, allgay foay ifferentday rices.pay
Botzero11: Riddle 3:
Botzero11: www.google.com/A+travelling+beast%2C+I+am.%0D%0AI+drink+the+blood+of+the+Earth.%0D%0AI+can+become+old%2C%0D%0AI+can+be+loud+as+a+lion+or+quiet+as+a+mouse%2C%0D%0AI+do+not+need+rest%2C%0D%0AWhat+am+I%3F

klindas: May I present these riddles to my teammates? We're all trying to assist the Professor, and they might have some more insight, especially the first one.
Botzero11: Yes.
Botzero11: I will be online later.
Botzero11: Good day.
klindas: Thank you. Good day.

The Second riddle appears to be in Pig Latin: "You walk on me, yet it is my job, I come in many guises, all of different prices." Could this be shoes?

The Third riddle I think is just hidden in the link. The link itself goes to a 404 page. "A travelling beast I am. I drink the blood of the Earth. I can become old I can be loud as a lion or quiet as a mouse I do not need rest. What am I?"
Blood of the Earth is most likely water.

As for the first riddle, I have no clue.
