The Lincoln for event 96 is Lincoln AR,that's 500 miles from Aurora and falls in the line from Redland covering all points.

Plus we have a plain distribution of events, that make me guess the last 4 episode are the clue for all...

About the date, it's cause delay between each event have a pattern (+5 +10 + 15) so it'll be Oct1, Oct6, Oct16 and Oct31.

It DOES fall in the line, but Lincoln County, AK is closer to 600 miles away than 500... hope that I'm wrong about Wisconsin, cause your solution is much better...

Alright, somebody agrees with me on two counts. Now I feel a little less isolated in my wild speculation Laughing Moriar, how'd you come up with Alabama ... you can see how I did earlier in the thread.

Marauder ... there is also a Lincoln, AR ... not a county but a town, right up in the NW corner of AR by the west edge. ArcView puts it about 400 miles from Aurora, NE as the crow flies, but according to Mapquest it's a 531 mile drive.

Nice work on the temporal spacing by the way.

just extending the last 4 events simmetrically....

So i think 102 might be in AL, and 103 very close to Redland if not redland itself.

But again, i might be totally wrong.

 		These are good speculations, but the problem I see is that no one has proposed a pattern to the pattern -- that is, if there is a pattern what is the rule?

The other question that weighs on my mind is how many events are going to occur before this whole thing plays itself out. That would seem to depend on when it ends, which isn't clear, although the front-running contender is always going to be the next Matrix-related event (right now, it's the release of Revolutions... if not, perhaps a beta test for the Matrix Online?).

I'm less convinced by the proposed timeline -- 5 and 10 day gaps between events could suggest a lot of things -- although Oct 31 is Halloween and therefore a day of general spookiness.

I'm looking forward to Beth's promised e-mail mid-week.

The entry "Halloween" is coloured blue which distinguishes it from all the other entries. I would say that several things now point to that date, BUT perhaps this is just an automated reminder of the significance of the day -- just like most calendars have? On the other hand, there are no coincidences...

Beth wanted to snoop around MLO's office because he "has access to the application." But she was distracted by the folder on James.

 		Did anyone notice in her Little boxes account how all of the bookmarked casestudies are created by beth except one? The "Locusts" was created by Deleted. I'm probably getting you off track, but that's the one thing I saw significant in her bookmarked cases.

[EDIT]Yes, I know I'm getting away from the very idea that I introduced the "#500" hints. Just offering little different things here.

Hats off to xnbomb! Great maps and analysis.

I would like a point of clarification... when you say "Redland" do you meant that Beth's taking her camping gear and staying the night in the server room of Metacortechs? That's the only thing in Redland that we know of.

IF you mean Cascade Vortex, that's not in Redland, as far as we can tell. My feeling is that CV is the next event. If you look at the graph you plotted, the anomaly started on a line, FAR away from CV, oscillates back and forth in the MidWest/West, then is heading back out, like a Chaotic oscillator may do. Therefore, the next anomaly isn't on a rebound back down to Alabama, but continuing out for a big swing, through CV.

Here's another question, anyone have any theories about WHY the anomalies are in a rough NW-SE line across the U.S.? Does this have anything to do with a path of a travelling Satellite? That's the only thing I can think of that'd cross the Earth that way....

I'm fascinated by all the work I'm seeing in here trying to mimick her prediction of the next location. But in the nature of the question above, I'm going to take a step back to consider something "bigger"...

The assumption/realization that location of similar events (paranormal or otherwise) are based on some sort of pattern says something quite big. Sure it's fascinating to try to consider what the pattern is, but just 'proving' that there IS a pattern (i.e. if Beth's camping trip is "fruitful", even if our own predictions are not) is monumental. It suggests there there is some overwhelming "cause" of the activities (fate, God, roaming sattellites, etc.), and that it isn't random (as we would expect them to occur "normally"). This might seem like a "yeah, duh!" observation, but consider the (arguably, it seems) context of this story/ARG: Perhaps this goes a long way to exposing the existence of a "Matrix". I mean, the machines have to give us problems to chew on, but such a location pattern would suggest that we might be seeing the machines "mistake" in basing it on a logical pattern (as machines would do) as opposed to a more random occurance (as would be suggested by a "normal, unmanipulated, real" world).

So perhaps what Beth (and we) are supposed to see with this test is a hint of the 'Ghost in the Machine'?

 		Well, if all this stuff is actually being caused by a "glitch", the anomalies wouldn't appear randomly, but in a pattern like Beth is discovering.

I'm reminded of this every time I receive a fax; a "glitch" in my toner cartridge causes a straight white line to appear down the middle of the page. And I, like the architect, am too cheap to fix the problem. [/rant]

I think the chance of predicting where the next event will be is now very good. I won't bother with the Excel plot ... if we swing the wave back across the country, the next event should be quite close to Redland .. maybe about 100-120 miles away. My gut says Cascade Vortex, even though that wouldn't fall on the line (it's at about the right distance, but it's not in the right direction).

If I go by the distance I'm guessing (by continuing to increase the wave's amplitude and sending it back across the mean) and the position of the line, I get something near Mattawa, WA or near the Priest Rapids Dam ... which is a good 100 miles east of where the Cascade Vortex is based on their directions. But the positional accuracy given the uncertainties of where Redland actually is located and some other uncertainties in the model (Lincoln, AR and Walnut Grove, AR for example) etc. makes a precise prediction pretty inappropriate. I think it should be in Washington state, and since both Redland and the Cascade Vortex is somewhere in those parts ... note that Moriar already predicted this earlier:

About when: We first need to nail down just when Beth's Alabama event occurred, and then we should have some hope of recognizing the temporal pattern she has recognized. I imagine Beth will be flying home shortly, hopefully in time to catch the next event in her neck of the woods.
