Nexus War (like Urban Dead, but awesome)

NEXUS WAR

This game is pretty similar to Urban Dead (see the bottom of the forum) except better in just about every respect. I played UD for a couple of days and got tried of it, but NexusWar has me gripped. It's got a nice backstory worthy of an ARG (check out the wiki) and a decent learning curve and tons of skills, spells and classes.

Better yet, there was a character wipe last week, so almost everyone is at the same level!

Basic story:
An island is whipped up from the carribean and used as a battleground where angels and demons duke it out for supremacy. Map of the island

If enough people are interested we could start a Faction (nexus war actively encourages you to team up, and there are bonuses for donig so)

Oh man, I normally stay away from anything mmorpg, but I guess I can make an exception for a browser based one with the whole AP limit thing (I did for UrbanDead for awhile). I guess the easiest way to try to get anything together would be irc, so how 'bout anyone playing meets up in #nexus?

I tried one that rewarded teaming. The problem is being available for team commitments. Too hard.

I would be interested in forming a faction. I currently have 3 characters and would like to get at least one into a faction.

Today someone named Sedrek whispered to one of my characters, "are u from unficition [sic]?" So, yes. I am EGo the paladin, and the mortals Enoch Root and Rui Faleiro.

EGo's in the Divine Army by default and looking to join The Faithful, and Enoch and Rui are just kicking around in the two biggest Good factions.

Well I tried it, and the faction obligations are not like in the other game where I had a bad experience. More like KOL - there's a stash, contribute or not, don't abuse it, but nice to have a stronghold to come home to at night. No wasting APs trying to hide at the end of each run.

My main character has joined Doctors Without Borders - we heal anyone (except demonkind who cannot accept healing from others). Nice little krew. My alt is a repair guy kicking around the burbs repairing doors and restoring power. And dying every now and agin.

Having just seen aliendial in the Bauert logs and the news that she ascended to Advocacy, I was wondering how everyone else is doing. I know how Six is... I've killed him often enough.

My guys...
- EGo, lvl30 Seraph, Steadfast for the Faithful
- Enoch Root, lvl28 Advocate, enchanter for Acta Sanctorum
- Rui Faleiro, lvl30 Nexus Champion, leeching off the Blood Hawk Brigade

Then some bitch Alien Queen killed me. In the Vault of Enlightenment! Wait till I find her! But anyway I got my wings. Sweet. And all without any killing (faction: Doctors Without Borders). 90% healing and books. Plus occasional equipment repairs. Still far ahead of my other characters who are willing to kill.

My two other characters - one a neutral (mostly) factionless dude and the other a nutso killer in a faction, are still lagging along behind, pretty much in lockstep. Mostly because they get killed pretty much every day. I suppose the nutso would do better if it stayed home more, but it's so BORING there, and home keeps moving. Tomorrow when I log in I will be dead because they're going to blow it up and move it while 50 people are in there. Chaos, baby!
