 		[SPEC] Idea about Persephone's identity
I thought about this during the season finale and some stuff on the Hanso phone line partially supported it:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Persephone is actually Penelope. She wanted to find the island that Desmond is on, and somehow (this question still needs to be answered) she found out that he is on an island that Hanso is using, so she is blackmailing the hell out of Hanso to get information, and therein lies the website stuff. Then, my buddy called the Hanso phone line and messed with it a little bit, and he got some static and then a voice said that the Widmore family is extremely sorry for all the disturbances, and then it hangs up.


any thoughts?

 		If we are to believe Hugh McIntyre (who shouldn't look and sound like some average midwestern US Joe Schmo, but does), the island and its inhabitants have nothing to do with the experience or the Hanso Foundation as a whole. That being said, McIntyre could have said that in an effort to protect his company because the writers of Lost are actually trying to get the word out about "true" happenings through fictional writings. You know, like that historical fiction book about Harriet Tubman you have to read in 6th grade.

Yeah I would tend to agree. I think that you could think of it as the show being a part of the world of the game, not the game being part of the world of the show...if that makes sence.

Meaning that the actors and charicters in the show are, in the point of view of the game, just actors and charticters on a show.

So to find Persephone, we should be looking outside of the show, especialy seing as that source of clues is dried up for this season.

I was actually thinking the same thing. The only thing that made me second guess it is the fact that anyone ourside of the U.S. hasn't heard of

 		Doesn't really matter if they've heard of that person yet, because to them, this could be the start of that trail, even though we've already had a taste of it...

 		Not to metion we have heard Persephone speak on the Hanso website and she does not
