oh noes! the players gallery is gone!

I do have the player's gallery information in some form--at least the images, perhaps not the comments or other metadata. I am on the verge of taking a week and a half worth of vacation, so I'll get the gallery loaded upon returning.

The player gallery should be up again. It is running a slightly different version of Gallery and not everything imported correctly. Some noted problems and improvements:
* None of the comments or ratings carried over Sad

* You'll have to create a user account to upload anything (but that's quick and painless)
* You can upload pictures or videos (there's a specific album for videos)
* RSS!
* Sidebar blocks that show a random image and the most viewed image
* I thought there were images for live events, but can't seem to find them in the backup that I was given
* Probably lots of other things that I cannot remember right now

Some of the names appear to have gone. Is there anyway we could rename them so we know who is who.

(What I'm actually asking is 'Can I rename someone's pic "He smells of wee"') Wink

First, I sort of forgot to include the URL in my last post. Most everyone who knew where the old gallery was can intuit the new URL, but just to be disambiguous, it is now: http://perplexcitywiki.com/gallery/

Second: Sorry, European Chris. I don't have any of the metadata, just the original files and original filenames. If you know who a particular person is, leave a note in the comments and I can change the name. Unfortunately, the permissions system is not granular enough (that is, I cannot grant registered users the right to rename things without also granting them the right to do stuff like alter the album name/URL/defaults.)
