I still don't see it... But has anyone else wondered what that stick-looking thing is, in the upper right corner of that scan?

Slightly clearer here, especially on the enhanced version. I never would have spotted it on my own - thanks for the pointer.

The stick-like thing is clearly an extremely expensive Hermes scarf flying in the wind as Tippy, off camera, makes off with the cube in her Gucci handbag.

Fantastic spot on that card symbol.
[throws away magnifying glass. searching for microscope on ebay]

Rand0m I think the stick-like-thing is actually Jack Charltons comb-over blowin in the wind.
Maybe he's stolen "The Cube" as a world cup bribe? Laughing

The World Cup? Then the Cube's in Germany... probably under a towel. Laughing

The stick like thing looks like an arm with a finger pointing to me.

I know there havent been any more contributions to this thread in a while. But, I was looking through it and thought I would 'point that out'.

I made a mistake on the solve of this card - The wording of one of the statements seems wrong. I've written to Mind Candy to ask for the correct interpretation, but from what I can tell:

I agree Magma. I had those 2 the wrong way round as well. And I'm locked out now Sad

Still I can kind of understand that Adamek wouldn't leave the event he sponsored meaning he sponsored the other one...

The first silver I've solved by myself! Very Happy

Some tips to clear up ambiguity:
(not giving away answers in these spoilers, just rewording the clues for you)

Clue 6:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Assume Adamek did not leave before his sponsored event. This clue is basically telling you "Adamek's event was before the Noi Ballroom event."

Clue 12:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I worried about the weird jealous thing for ages, but all this clue is telling you is
1. Second event is 10 mins less than Sedgewick's
2. Sedgewick is not cryptography Senior Fellow (but you have to look up Senior Fellows anyway, see last spoilered bit)

Finally, in case you're trying to work this out just from the information on the card, like I was, you actually need some more information. You need to look up
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the specialties of all the Senior Fellows on the Perplex City Wiki.

If you're too lazy, here is the extra info for you, spoon-fed:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Professor Adamek - Arts
Prof Ekeba - Natural Sciences
Prof Mansoor - Cryptography/Cryptology
Sedgewick - Languages
Prof Wildwood - Social Sciences
(Ekeba and Sedgewick's aren't actually relevant)

(Also I still can't see a two of hearts on mine, even after seeing where it is on the other people's cards.)
