[UPDATE] Anna Heath - 2nd June 2006 - Violet Calls
Quote:
Violet Calls
Friday, 2nd June 2006
Violet's called to invite me to some sort of conclave she's holding on Sunday. She was less than forthcoming, but she sounded remarkably resolute. I think something serious is at hand.
Usually she puts on a particularly flippant facade - you know the one I mean, like she's too detached to find anything but dry amusement in the world - but not this time. It's often difficult to believe that the Kiteways are related to each other at all, they're so different. Today, though, it suddenly struck me how very like her father Violet is, after all.

[spec] Mrs. Kiteway had an affair, and conceived Violet during this affair. Sente found out after Violet had been born, demanding a blood test due to their differring appearances. In a furious rage, he beat his wife to a bloody pulp, killing her. He then shipped the corpse off to Viendenbourg, to cover up her death, pretending that she was working there.[/spec]

No, I think conclave is code for "a bit of wicca".

That whole ordeal with Sente apparently didn't rattle Violet enough to want to hold meetings with people. Still, its nice to know that Heath is sort of being inducted into the whole "Secret Society Of PXC/Earth people" or something like that.
It'd be nice if Scarlett and Violet + Kurt exchanged what they know. At the very least, it'd make it a lot easier on us in that we wouldn't leak private information from one to the other or something like that.
I bet Sente bugs the whole thing.

Does Violet care for Kurt enough to kill Anna?

hmm... What is left to talk about? Anna knows everything, the page, about Kurt ect. What else can Violet talk about? Maybe the 3P spy in the PCA?
Oh ya, why the heck would Violet kill Anna?

As for the first, here's to hoping that they invite Scarlet and all learn about Viendenbourg. More heads the better I say. Also, off the top of my head I don't believe that anyone other than Kurt has a good reason to suspect an inside job, so him telling them about that would be good. And perhaps Violet should warn them all about Sente really knowing everything, confirm Anna's suspiscions (although she is still a bit new to all this secrecy, I have a bad feeling that she'll let slip the wrong thing to the wrong person - I preferred keeping her in the dark but if Violet insists...)
As Advocatus Diaboli insists on playing Devil's Advocate (always a fun game), I shall join in and say that Violet would kill Anna because she's an evil Recon clone/3P robotic replacement and it has nothing to do with Kurt. Well, you asked.

Does anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable that Violet herself not told us anything about this "conclave" on Sunday?
Set up or ba-na-na?

I'm not really surprised. I mean, she could be wanting to let people other than us know the truth about miranda, and how silburn-griggs has mysteriously and conveniently flooded.
Or perhaps she's had her lunch with scarlett, who has told her everything, and they want to let Anna in on that, too, but didn't tell us because she already knows that we know.

Or maybe, she's just got more important things to be doing than giving us a running commentary on every detail.
I'm sure she'll tell us what's going on, after the event.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Looking at it as a story, they've told us about it. To tell us again, and presumably from the POV of every character invited, would be flogging a dead horse and use time they could better spend digging more traps for us.
