I'm going to give you a New competitor, as they don't get seeded in the competitions. Another seedless thing is seedless grapes, these are created by cloning, as are most modern BA-NA-NAs.

I wonder what we will (at last) receive in the post.
Thank goodness this wasn't a dead end cos I for sure would feel very pi**ed off. Cos that digital version of the mag cost $8 (give or take a $) convert this to pounds add on .... anyway I think you catch my drift.
Lets hope its a good lead that gives us some real clues as to the where abouts of the Cube.. (Lets just hope it not in Cuba!)

Awesome, it'll be good to see something finally come of this, I bought the online version too.
The debate of the elephant versus the light bulb will finally come to a close.
(Course, the Eternal Battle of the Elephant vs the Bear Holding a Beer will continue forever!)

<TIAG>Hmm ... given that Mind Candy probably has most of our mailling addresses and email addresses from the website, they might have thrown out the entries from our bunch thinking "we've already hooked these people ... let's get some new blood." I wouldn't be all that suprised if all the winners were people other than those who post on UF regularly or are heavily involved in the quest so far. Eh, maybe a couple on here just to make it fair.</TIAG>
While I never saw either design in the image (the "Elephant" would have to be one emaciated SOB of a pachyderm, and the "Bear" looked more like a tree (an Ent?) with the coloration), I'd side with the Bear, just because of the brew. I just don't believe the bear would be drinking a lager (approximate color). Seems more like an ale kind of animal, if not a porter. Still, I like the battle image, Six.

Nobody has heard or gotten anything from Cognivia/Perplex City Academy yet? Since I've gotten bored waiting for someone to finally get the testing materials, I decided to use my incredible aptitude for art and my copy of MS Paint to do my own solve of the puzzle. Along the likes of "Filled in cubist elephant" "Abstract bear with a pint" and "Superimposed light bulb" (not so much the last one), I give you... "Design crudely drawn in MS paint that vaguely resembles a seahorse". I've included a random picture of a seahorse, I think you'll agree that the likeness is striking, if not mind-blowing.
Description
The red is the route through the maze, the blue makes it look more like a seahorsie.

Can you kindly E-mail your source (Again) and ask them how long a week exactly is! Oh, you could also ask what the actual solution was.
Your source has not been too reliable. We have already had one timely hoax on this thread (1st April) I hope your contact is not stringing us along too.
I would E-mail mind candy etc... but all my E-mails draw blanks.
Cheers
JJ
Externally hoping that something will happen (at some not too far off distant time in space) with this puzzle that was planted along time ago. Maybe I should go off and solve that unsolveable card in the mean time! Or just forget about this whole thing. I think we have come to a big dead end! We could at the very least have confirmation on the solution.

Good idea.
It'll happen when the moon is right. Or not. Until then, not a lot else that we can do.

I've thought about e-mailing them again. I figured I'd wait until people start receiving their leitmarks, in case they decided to mail the leitmarks and "testing materials" together or at the same time. If nothing shows up when you English types get your leitmarks in the post, I'll e-mail them again and ask for an update. Don't give up yet!

So after all this time, all these posts and all the elephant/lightbulb nonsense there is still not response?
Methinks PXC have shot themselves in the foot and didn't actually expect so many responses to this....maybe?
I've only been playing this a short time and am noticing a lot of this type of thing - people going down blind alleys (such as the key / subscriptions for Sentinel). Perhaps PXC need to look at this for future puzzles?

I'm new to this, but have a very convoluted brain when it comes to lateral thinking. Perhaps we are thinking to literally. I agree that it does look like a light bulb, but that would be the literal answer. A light bulb inside a head often relates to an idea (as I suspect most people will have worked out). If the idea is the light bulb, then could it (possibly) be that it is referring to the idea of the idea?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I know I'm thinking very convoluted, but could it mean Elisha Gray or Thomas Edison, the inventor(s) of the light bulb?
