Yes, we know the connection. timaeus and critias. Those names have already shown their importance to the game and the puzzle was solved the first week of this ARG. Because I know you mihgt not know that:

They are both Phillip's passwords for two sites.

In what ways can we link Phillip to Aquapolis? (these Atlantis clues must be something)
Am I right that the only way to link Phil and Aquapolis is that phil uses Metadex (not sure how except that Beth gave him the beta version to test), Beth works for Metacortex and Metacortex sponsors Aquapolis.
Are these password clues telling us that Phil has a deeper connection with Aquapolis?

How/why does Phil use Metadex?

The assumption is that Phil is Beth's friend, MC needed beta testers for Metadex, so Beth said, "Hey Phil, wanna be a beta tester for our cool new product?". I am a web developer by trade, and I sometimes enlist friends to "test" new sites, just to get an "outside perspective". Makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is why Beth/Phil use Metadex to send personal messages and quasi-confidential information. Surely they realize that it's a trivial matter for "others" to read their email?
