Very sweet. I sent her another email today, asking a few things about the book. I'll let you know if i get a reply.

There doesnt seem to be any hidden links or anything, but I'm sure if there's something, I won't be the one to spot it Razz

I love it XD

Although, I am still wondering...where does the "sixth" come into play.

It was the sixth mask that was perfect.

Sixth of Never referes to the Sixth mask modled after Never to whomever ask. Maybe Sarah is trying to get pregnant and is having problems? The book does seem to mirror her real life, with the masks, nightmares, etc.

Those of you who read it, please remember to visit your local libraries this summer and check out a real, honest-to-goodness book!
do you think she is really going to publish it? =\

The point of the story is explained at the end:

Quote:

...she swore that from that day forward she would be kinder to others, who might be telling her important information even though she did not realize it.

I believe it's saying we need to look for important information given to us from unlikely sources.

I thought something like this, so I've emailed her asking where her inspiration came from

Hehe. great story. What that old seer says is quite like how you should be careful with wishes.

i.e. "i wish for a nice baby" and you get in the post a plastic baby doll from Nice, France.

Hello Sarah,

I have been keeping up with your blog and the goings on in Aglaura, and can see why you are frustrated. I just wanted to let you know I read your book and was very impressed by it, although, i couldn't help but notice that it seemed to mirror your real life. The masks, nightmares, it all seems to connect in my head and, well, I was just wondering if you used your real life for inspiration, or if the book isn't as fictional as it seems. I will continue to help fight for the library, their are a good number of signatures on the petition already and the numbers keep growing.

All the best,
Brandon

P.S. That really does suck about the business cards, put on some makeup to make you look really pale and hand them out as something of a joke =)

Quote:
Dear Brandon,

Thanks for your note. I'm glad you enjoyed the story! It was a lot of fun to
write. I didn't consciously set about to use anything from real life in the
tale itself, although I'd love to have a horse of my own. It's just a
make-believe tale. Smile

I'm so happy to see the number of signatures on the petition. It does
my heart
good to know there are strangers out there who would join me in this uphill
battle.

Best wishes,
Sarah Wyatt

Hello again,

I'm sure you already know this, but a friend of mine has set up a petition
regarding saving the library. We're doing all we can, I hope that this will
work.

Also, I read your book, "The Sixth Of Never" this morning, and I loved it,
but I am intruiged - Where did you get the idea for it? It seems very
unique. I have to agree though, that I didn't get nearly as much enjoyment
out of reading it online than I would have if I read it in a book.

From Jenna

Quote:
Dear Jenna,

Thank you so much for your letter. I have seen and signed the petition,
and am gratified by the great response to it so far. It's wonderful to
see what happens when people work together, isn't it?

As Stephen King might say, I got the idea for the book from a small,
bloodthirsty elf who lives under my desk. Well, perhaps it's something
more gentle, like a gnome. Kidding aside, I'm not sure where my
inspiration comes from. Maybe my subconscious, integrating elements and
bits of thought and experience into something cohesive? I don't know.
But if I could bottle it, I'd be a rich woman indeed.

Best wishes,
Sarah Wyatt
