I know there are two types (3 types?) of twins but the most commonly assumed attribute is same sex. Especially in this game context where Bad Twin the book references 2 male twins.

I think the emri link is just meant to be taken as "huh, look at this weird thing," not as a major clue and certainly not as a reason to discount this entire site altogether.

I agree that it would be nice to see for ourselves the actual Hanso commercial that led to ROT in the first place (youtube tomorrow, anyone?) but for now I'm willing to go with it, if only because it adds a new layer to this ARG.

Correction: One doesn't have to enter porter. If you enter anything that's not an email address, you still get to the forum.

Oops! It looks like once you enter "porter" and back out of the forum, then you can enter anything and get to the page. Please disregard.

So maybe it is Persephone, maybe not.

I don't think that's anything special, it's just how they coded the email form. It's a random encrypted variable.

Okay, here's a few things:

1. Polar-to-rectangularizing the yellow lab image produces nothing of consequence.

2. The hidden field value was base 64 encoded, but I don't think it's of importance. Here's the decoded version (originally in one line, broken into multiple for better readability):

I don't think all the information on the site if fake. In particular I am thinking about the hidden date entry on the time line. It seems a little too real to be fake.

Also I thought they were talking abouto the log on THF because later they refer to the whole ying/yang thing.

Keep in mind it's "Yellow Lab," not "Yellow Dog." As someone brought up, perhaps it's a laboratory. Perhaps it's where they make FiOS. I also thought it looked fake how they capitalize "Yellow Lab" like that because nobody would do that. And on the timeline there was a reference to "Yellowstone" which seemed suggestive that there's something to the word "Yellow."

More to the point, we have to figure out what's up with the picture of "Wally Bole," which of course is the anagram for "Yellow Lab." Also I'm wondering if it's a clue from the timeline that Vincent "Wally" Bole was born in 1938.

I agree. There's no other reason that picture would look that altered if there wasn't something special about it. Anyone try desteg?

She may have ties to HANSO (through the genetics refs in her blog entry and the partho pass),

She has computer knowledge (that's what she does) and had prior knowledge of the Hanso hack. Any more links/tie ins?

Well, DSL did recogonize Mittelwerk, but I still don't think this is the case. The posters on that board apparently are Verizon technicians who are probably all working on their fiber optics in one way or another, and they've been checking out the THF site which is why she'd recognize Mittelwerk anyways. But as dante mentioned, Persephone isn't a fiber optics tech at Verizon because she either works for or recently worked for THF. Even if she was a former Hanso employee, what are the chances she'd have the skills necessary to hook up with a job like this at Verizon already?

Speaking of the incendent when Mittelwerk stopped by, and noting the metion of various Hanso employees stopping by their offices, is THF working on installing their own fiber optics? Afterall they pride themselves on keeping up with the cutting edge of modern technology.

3.) I never before heard mention of Hanso going to jail, although maybe that explains why he was "last seen" in 2002 while that photo is from 2003.
