So aside from learning that DJ Dan is a sell out, what do we get from this?
Whoever posted this video has beef with Hanso, DJ Dan and mega corporations. Would Persephone do something like this? Her issue is with Hanso and I could only see her attacking Dan if he was tied in with them.

Is it possible that we have two hackers? How does this video compare to the technique used by whoever interrupted Persephone's last WWPDP hack with the "I know who you are" message?

 		I will wait what happens during the next days or weeks before I dive any deeper into this than I have so far.
I just don't see that it pays off, to be honest.
The site content is fine, but aside from that extensive clue-searching is most likely waste of time.

Thanks, Abraxis, for your summary of the podcast.

First off, Hello.
I'm new here + found this site while searching for clues in the game. Smile

My take on the Podcast:

I think the images are responses (hacked) to DJ Dan's audio messages. (I suspect the static in the Hugh McIntyre interview may be similar.) The painting in the images is of the mythical Persephone. Since the HansoCareers post for an Organ Courier flashes right next to the painting of the mythical Persephone, I think this means Persephone was a Hanso Organ Courier and now her position is vacant. If she were an Organ Courier working in the country where the missing organs were reported, she'd have access to information about what the Hanso Foundation was up to with those organs. Traveling around the globe delivering organs, she'd probably have access to all kind of info about the foundation and its executives. I doubt she's in this whistle-blowing operation alone, though. She probably has one or more current Hanso employees helping her.

Also, the file name owells that takes you to the 6/01 DJ Dan podcast is most likely a reference to Orson Wells and his "War of The Worlds" radio broadscast. My guess is that this pseudonom for DJ Dan implies that he is playing with his listeners in an alternate reality game much as Orson Wells played an alternate reality game with the listeners of his radio show. If people tuned a few minutes late, some of then actually thought the Earth was being invaded by Martians.

Speculation: If DJ Dan has a file in the Hanso foundation directory, even if it's under a pseudonom, does this mean he's on the Hanso payroll???

After watching the podcast I was wondering if maybe he was being paid off to not say certain things which is why he's only throwing out clues. Afterall, he has no probably admitting that he's a sell out.

 		DJ Dan said that War of the Worlds was created so that when real information about Martians was revealed, it would be dismissed as a hoax as well. Do we have the same situation here? Is DJ Dan a fake personality under control of the Hanso Foundation? When real information about what Hanso is doing comes to light, it can be tossed aside with DJ Dan's other crackpot theories. That would certainly explain the owells user area link. Exposing DJ Dan as a sell-out would even cause his own user base to not believe what they hear.

 		Here's a thought: DJ Dan is a sellout, but is being a sellout all THAT bad?

Fact: all the sites that Persephone have used have been for Sprite, for Jeep, etc. It has appeared that they have been working with her. And now they sponsor DJ Dan.

Could Sprite and Jeep maybe be in the works to get the Hanso Foundation out of business? They haven't thrown their hats into the "We're with Hanso" game.

Would everyone flip out if these companies started to be in-game corps?

 		It's true that Jeep canceled it's contract with the Hanso Foundation for several Jeep vehicles in March 2006. (See the file for pthompso at http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/) Also, if the Hanso Foundation comes out looking bad at the end of this game, which it will, these game sponsors might want themselves to look like good guys in the end. So far there is no "official" link between the Hanso Foundation and Sprite, and the links Monster.com and Veriozon have to them are just as agents for simple services provided to the Foundation, ie. job postings + phone mail service. Jeep was the only agency that was going to provide a special deal to Hanso for the lease of it's vehicles, and they have since revoked that offer.

 		I think it is important to remeber that Dj Dan told us he was a sellout in his first podcast. I don't have the exact quote but it goes something like- If your like me, if you rent instead of own lease instead of buy, then you are owned.

Right there he is telling us that he is owned. I do not think he likes that fact anymore than we do, but he likes the money he brings in.

 		It looks like they just removed the video podcast from YouTube and replaced the link with a good ol regular .mp3 file.

I'm at work so I haven't had a chance to see if it is really just the audio from the YT podcast or a changed version (or perhaps the original before P played with it?)

 		dj dan site was updated a little bit today, they removed the sublymonal link from the explosion picture along with the persephone code. The podcast page includes all 3 podcasts now. Theres a new (i think its new) banner ad for verizon to tie in with the retrievers page.
